Last day of 2015 - and this year's last challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES without a twist. Simples! Our sponsor for December is My Besties.
I haven't had much time to craft, so I made a quick card using dies and white paper only.
The roses and numbers are made with Memory Box dies, the stitched frame with one from Dienamics. The striped paper is embossed. I mounted the flower die cut on foam and added 3 pearls.
Wishing you all a happy New Year!

Quick and easy Christmas cards with die cut reindeer
I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas. I did and Santa was very kind to me. Tomorrow it's back to work, 3 days, then a break for New Year.
I wanted to show you two of my quick and easy Christmas cards, involving stamping, heat embossing and die cutting. For both cards I used a stamp from Tim Holtz and gold embossing powder.
Card #1:
Negative die cut.
I used brown cardstock, I cut out a reindeer, added foam for dimension and added my embossed paper. Only embellishment used was string.
This card is for Less Is More Homespun
Card #2:
Inlaid die cut
For this card I used the cut from card #1 and embossed the brown panel. I also added string with two gold bells from Marianne and a sentiment sticker saying Happy Chsristmas in Norwegian.
The embossed panel was raised on foam.

Christmas card for a young boy
Tuesday is new release day over at Bugaboo and this is my DT card showcaseing one of Jodie's latest images. Adorable, isn't it!
The image is colored using Promarkers and cut with a stitched die from Lawn Fawn. The paper with hearts comes from a paper pad I received as one of the calendar gifts this year from my mum.
The sentiment is a piece of fabric. I used a die from Marianne to make the pine branches, I added glitter to them and a bow onto which I attached two silver bells from Marianne.
This card is also for these challenges:
Sweet Stampin - Christmas Presents
Cute Card Thursday - #403 Add Some Glitter
Moving along with the Times - To A Special Person At Christmas (my 7 year old nephew)

No reindeer allowed
So I printed the image, colored it with my Promarkers and added glossy accent to the sign.
Then I thought of a scenery where no reindeers are allowed. I went with a city and created a cityscape winter wonderland using my Memory Box die. I cut out three strips, from silver, grey and black cardstock, glued them together and mounted them on foam onto a embossed snow panel.
I tore white paper to make the snowy ground, added glitter glue and a strip of lace.
I die cut three stars with a Memory Box die and attached a silver sequin to each centre.

I made a gift bag decorated with one of my favorite Christmas images - the rocking horse - colored with Promarkers.
I cut the image and panel with banner dies from Dienamics. The paper with Christmas greetings in different languages was covered with vellum for a softer look. I stitched around the edges with white thread, added white lave and ribbon and attached a small Christmas bauble.

Christmas Feet
I'm here to share my DT card for the new "Stella Says Sketch" challenge over at Catch the Bug.
I kept it all very simple, just embossing a row of snowflakes, using an EF that came free with a magazine, I believe it was last year. I very gently sponged a little with white ink to define them a bit better.
The DP was mounted onto panels of black cardstock and silver mirri card.
The image - Seasons greeting feet - was colored with my Promarkers. I added a bit of frantage and two black pearls.
This card is also for these challenges:
Cardz 4 Guyz - #98 - Fun In The Snow
Brown Sugar - #174 Use Pearls

You can find the image in the Bugaboo store here. I used a black pen to draw a thin line around the edges. And for a bit of color I added die cut hearts made with a Lawn Fawn die. And that's about it.

For a boy's 7th birthday
There's a new challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday, and
this week it's ANYTHING GOES. Our
sponsor the month of November is Ppinkydolls, but this time I used one of my rubber stamps (Bildmålarna), colored with Promarkers, as I needed to make a card for my nephew who will celebrate his 7th birthday this weekend.
As for the shape I went with a step design made of kraft paper. The first step was decorated with a rope embossed paper, a string with Dienamics die cuts attached to it and some die cut starfish and seashells made with a Memory Box die. The second step us decorated with die cut waves from Memory Box and some more starfish. Then the third step and panel has been designed to look like a horizon with boats. Here I used stitched oval dies and letters from Dienamics, as well as one from Memory Box for the number - it's hard to spot but it's there in the upper right corner. The card was no quickie, but lots of fun to make.
This card is also for these challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Pile It On - #96 Fancy Folds
Allsorts - At least 3 diecuts

Christmas Scene with a Wooden Reindeer
Some of you might know I love reindeer on Christmas cards. In general I struggle making cards inspired by photos, but with a reindeer on I had no problem at all:)
I have some wooden reindeer in my stash, and this one I gave a coat of bronze colored EP.
The winter village was stamped and heat embossed, no coloring, but lots of loose glitter added to it.
I used craft foam to cut the Memory Box poinsettia corner, love the dimension it adds. Another die was used for the Christmas greeting in Norwegian. Paper from Maja Design.
No red, no green - quite unusal for me not using any traditional colors on a Christmas card - but lots of sparkle from the glitter - I even added some on th craft foam.
This card is for these challenges:
Inkspirational - Photo inspiration
Clear It Out - Theme: Holiday / Christmas Stash: Glitter
Papertake Weekly - Take Your Pick (Technique - Glitter it up)

Music, CASE and dimension
I really liked the card to CASE over at TimeOut, so I wanted to give it a go. My first attempt turned out to be a sorry little number, I was going for one layer and it looked awful. But I persisted, being inspired by the layout and adding a bit more of "me" in the design all while keeping a simple look.
I quite like using non Christmas images for Christmas designs. This time I used a stamped and heat embossed trumpet sent to me by Monika. Sorry, but I don't know the brand. Twofers have the theme of music this fortnight, the only requirement is to use stamps (no digis) and follow the theme (music).
I made a frame for the trumpet using med Dienamics stitched oval dies. The holly was made using a stamp from Poppy Design, I colored it with Promarkers and added red pearls from my stash. I mounted it on foam, being inspired by the theme over at Addicted to CAS.
The musical notes panel is made with a small stamp from Prima, one I hadn't used before. The sentiment is die cut, meaning "Christmas greetings" in Norwegian.
This card is for these challenges:
TIME OUT Challenges - #43 Case
Twofers - #8 Music

I've used a color combo which is unusual for me, purple and red. I added lace, sequins and pearls as well as letter stickers for the sentiment. The banners are made with dies from Dienamics, the bow withone from Tim Holtz. Machine stitching with white thread around the edges.

There's a new challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday, and
this week the optional twist is THINGS WITH WINGS. I used an image from our

Since Christmas is sneaking up on us I decided to give this non-Christmas image a Christmasy look, so I added frantage for snow and punched pine branches. I framed the scene using a stitched frame die from Dienamics and decorated it with a bow made with a Tim Holtz die.The sentiment is a piece of fabric and I also added some cheesecloth.

With Christmas quickly approaching I've got a Christmas card on the menu for today.
I used my angel stamp and a sentiment tag from LOTV. I stamped the image onto vellum with gold EP, colored the stars with a gold gel pen and gave the angel a golden paper pieced dress.
The star die cut is covered with gold EP, I used a die from Marianne. 3 gold bling and a a star eyelet from my stash were also added.
The background is embossed with a Spellbinders EF, matted onto gold cardstock, and I added a little bit of white and gold frantage.
This card is for these challenges:
Twofers - #7 Things with Wings
Challenge Up Your Life - White and gold
Clear It Out - Theme: White + 1 Color Stash: your choice (bling)
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Anything Goes

Skating
There's a new challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday, and
this week the optional twist is PAPER PIECING. I used an image from our
sponsor this month, Ppinkydolls, colored up with Promarkers.
I stamped some houses onto DP, fussy cut them and paper pieced the windows and doors.
The ice is silver metallic tape. I framed the scene using stitched circle dies from Memory Box. The white panel is embossed with an EF from Tim Holtz. I stamped a Christmas greeting and added a die cut holly swirl, covered with white and gold frantage, and added 3 red pearls.

Cardinals
I was given this beautiful cardinal image by my blogfriend Monika of Creative with Monika (Thank you so much!) She has opened up an Etsy Shop with a friend who makes digital images. The shop is called JavaCardLineArt.
I have to admit I've never seen a cardinal IRL. I actually became aware of their existence in blogland. So I didn't know how to color them up, but with a little help from Google I found lots of images for guidance.
I used my Marianne window die and added lace I got from Mervi in the window, so that it looks like they're sitting outside peeping in. I punched a few branches and added loose glitter to them and to the window. The window is mounted onto a paper dry embossed with a folder from Darice. Papers from Maja Design. Christmas greeting in Norwegian and branches with red berries from my stash.
This card is also for these challenges:
The Glory of Christmas - #71 Glitter and/orShine
Fab 'n' Funky - #280 Die Cuts and/or Punches
Inspiration Destination - #58 Always Anything Goes
Glitter n Sparkle - #162 Use Some Red
