Hello! I hope you've had a good weekend and a great start of the week! I've got a new card to show you, and this one is rather 'international' with paper from the UK (thanks Sandie!), doily from a food store in Dubai and gold/bronze paper bought in Sweden. My choice of colors is inspired by the photo over at Inkspirational. I pondered for a week about what to do, should I use my peacock stamp, a peacock metal charm, lace... I decided on a simple 'hello' card as I've got mainly birthday and Christmas cards in my stash right now. Once I had decided on what to make the card came together rather quickly. The feathers are cut out with my Spellbinders dies, and for the sentiment I used on from Dienamics. Pearls from my stash. I machine stitched using white thread.This card is for these challenges:

Those feathers are so pretty. I wondered what that die looked like! There was a buy one get one free Spellbinders sale at my scrapbook store last week. Of course they did not have the feathers and everything was picked over by the time I got there on the last day of the sale!

Oh Pia, what a beautiful and elegant card! The background paper looks great with the colour of feathers.... and the feathers are fabulous!! The die you used make also embossing?
Gosh I wouldn't have recognised that paper..but it sure does work perfectly for this photo and I knew you would make better use of it than me! I love the ribbing on the feathers. This card is a stunner Pia and so pleased you shared with us at Ink xx

Sorry I have no post a new post at my blog but I edited my old post and put a new card there :) wish you can see it..its not a spectacular card cause I have dull idea with the cue card UNDER and only put a gift under the christmas tree..yeah not a great card I think Pia..( a bit sad)

What makes this card truly special is it's simplicity. You were right in not going for the obvious peacock. Instead the feathers together with the blue and gold/bronze are all you need to make this card special. I love it.
