Melt

Tuesday is new release day over at  Bugaboo and this is my DT card showcaseing one of Jodie's latest images.
I printed the image onto plain white paper and didn't add any color at all. I cut them out and worked on my design. The background paper is black cardstock which I embossed with an embossing folder, then I sprinkled silver EP and heat set it. I quite like how it turned out, looking a bit melted and aged. I added a panel of black paper which I decorated with the images, a die cut film strip (die from Marianne) covered with acetate so I could make a shaker adding a few sequins. The flowers are die cut (die from Memory Box) as is the panel for the sentiment (dies from Dienamics). The sentiment is heat embossed. I'm addicted to patterned papers, I hoard them and love them, but lately I'm finding myself enjoying making cards using other alternatives.

This card is also for these challenges:
Inkspirational - Word "Melt"
Crafty Cardmakers - No Patterned Paper
Sparkle N Sprinkle - Anything Goes with Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder and/or Flocking
Come and Get It - Black and white with one color (silver)

I appreciate all of the work that went into this! I'm like you: I love patterned papers, but for me, I go through phases (like currently) where I love messing around with alternative techniques to decorate paper! (But I just bought a bunch of new patterned paper today... Sigh). Fantastic job on all of the challenges you applied this card to!
