Blue Bird

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday we have a new ANYTHING GOES challenge for you, no twist this week, really simple. Our sponsor for July is Sami Stamps.
I used an image from a Tim Holtz stamp set for my card. He looks sick poor  thing, all blue in his face. I had a piece of paper I had added different blue inks to and I stamped on this paper, heat embossing with black EP. I stamped his eyes on white paper, cut them out and mounted them on foam. I used a white die cut memory Box heart and a die cut LawnFawn panel with Kaisercraft DP and I spritzed the kraft paper with blue jeans colored mist. The sentiment, from Technique Tuesday, is heat embossed with silver EP and I added three sequins.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) TIME OUT Challenges - #36 CASE Alice
2) Inkspirational - Kraft
3) Glitter n Sparkle - #147 Starts with a B (Bird, Blue)

CAS Christmas Bunny

I made this CAS card being inspired by the Muse Christmas Visions card. I picked inspiration from the layout and the cute image, seeing their long ears and grey fur I thought of a stamp from LOTV.
I gave the sweet bunny a paper pieced pajamas and colored the rest of him with my Promarkers and silver and gold gel pens.
Stamped a sentiment, stitched around the edges and mounted it all onto a brown panel and white card base. Simples!

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges:
1) Muse Christmas Visions - #12
2) Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - CAS
3) Addicted to Stamps and More - #154 CAS
4) Cards in Envy - Christmas in July
5) Rudolph Days Challenge - July

1st birthday

I saw the sketch over at The Vintage Challenge and sat down to make a pink baby card. Then I found the cut out teddy in my stash, the pink papers were changed to browns and as more and more came together I felt it more suitable for a boy. So this will be my youngest nephew's birthday card. Thing is - he won't turn 1 in another 350+ days. Defintely not a last minute card...

DPs are from Maja Design.
I used dies from Lawn Fawn (swirl), Memory Box (stitched heart and number) and Kort&Godt (crown and small swirl).
The bigger swirl and corrugated paper were given a dash of gesso, the other die cuts were  heat embossed with gold EP.
I added a resin rocking horse and flowers, pearls, lace and string were from my stash.

This card is for these challenges:
1) The Vintage Challenge - #105 Sketch
2) Simply Create Too - #90 For a Precious Child
3) Crafty Gals Corner - #29 To Die For
4) Brown Sugar – #156 Anything Goes
5) Moving along with the Times - Baby Baby

Muse and Butterflies

I've been following Muse for some time, admiring all the entries each week, but I've never actually entered a card myself. I love CASEing cards, so I hope to find time and join several times from now on.
Anita's card made me think of spotlight stamping, a technique I've never used before, so thought I'd give it a go.
I used a butterfly stamp from Memory Box and my Promarkers. In retrospect I think I shouldn't have colored with blue around the butterflies but rather have left it untouched. The sentiment is made using stamps from Technique Tuesday. I felt my card was a little bland so I used a mist and added 3 lavender colored sequins.

This card is for these challenges:
1) Muse Challenge - CASE Muse's Card
2) Allsorts - Add a Butterfly
3) Just Add Ink - #272 Butterflies
4) Fab 'n' Funky - #269 No Patterned Papers

Flamingo on the Beach

Over at Catch the Bug we have a new challenge for you and this week it's a COLOR CHALLENGE! Enter and you are in the chance of winning images from the Bugaboo store.

I colored my image using Promarkers and a white gel pen. I stamped the sentiment with dark blue ink.

The frame is made using a Dienamics die, the waves, seashells, starfish and sand dollar are Memory Box die cuts.

I used a little bit of mist on the white background, but it doesn's show well on the photo, and I also added a piece of cheese cloth.
I mounted the panel on foam onto a white card case and used a rounded corner punch on one corner.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Fussy and Fancy - #144 Things with Wings
2) Aud Sentiments Challenge - #136 Anything Goes with a sentiment
3) Crafting By Designs - Summer Holidays
4) The Corrosive Challenges - #229 To "Die" For
5) Crafty Cardmakers - Water

Bathing Frog

Happy Friday! I'm here to show you my card featuring the Freebie Friday frog, you can pick it up at no cost in the Bugaboo store.

I made the card base using stitched rectangle and oval dies from Dienamics. A bit of ink and embossing powder used at the top part inside the frame, a piece of Kaisercraft DP at the bottom.
I made waves using a die from Memory Box and ripped a leftover piece of kraft to make the sand.
I had planned to add the frog standing neatly in front of the waves, then changed my mind and wanted it to look like it was taking a dive.
The sentiment is cut out from a Kaisercraft DP.
A bit of fun, a bit of quirky, and with lots of summer feel.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) 4 Crafty Chicks - #256 Sun, Sea & Sand
2) Simply Papercraft - #9 Anything Goes
3) Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
4) Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes

Dancing in the rain

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday our optional challenge  twist this week is to make something with the.theme of water.
Our sponsor for July is Sami Stamps, and I used an image you can find over in the Sami Stamps store.

I colored the image using Promarkers and I used a white gel pen to make the flowers on her dress. There's a huge amount of glossy accent on the umbrella, I fussy cut the image and added foam under the umbrella's center to give it a bit of dimension, something you can't see in this photo but it looks quite neat IRL.

The background is made using Distress Ink and a Tim Holtz stencil. I used another stencil with raindtrops, drew white lines and added glossy accent.
The sentiment is heat embossed with aged gold embossing powder, the stamp is from Kaisercraft.

This card is also for these challenges:
Sami Stamps - #27 Anything Goes
Come and Get It - Combine 2 images
Sweet Stampin - No designer paper
Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - #235 Stencils & Masks
Dream Valley Challenges - Embossing, wet or dry

Hammock Day

Today is Hammock Day. So you know. That's way I chose to play Bugaboo's "Hammock Bear", and also because I think he's really cute.
I colored him with Promarkers and fussy cut the image. The trees are made with stamps from Lawn Fawn, heat embossed with black EP on brown paper. The leaves are made with cut offs from a Marianne tree die cut. The grass border is made with a LaLaLand die.
Green papers are leftovers from Doodlebug Designs, the background is from Maja.
Sentiment made with stamps from Technique Tuesday and I used a stitched oval die from Dienamics.

This is also for these challenges:
1) Sketch Saturday - Sketch #370
2) Polkadoodles - #29 2 or more patterned papers
3) Natalie and Amy's Challenge - #34 Summertime

2015 Christmas Card #18

For day 6 we have a photo inspiration for you. I used one of Jodie's snowman images and made a typically Norwegian winter svene for him, using a die from Cottage Cutz. I love this wintery scene die and I'm going to use it a lot for my future cards. The image is as usually colored with Promakers, and I added loose glitter to the trim of his hat. No DPs used (I'm getting better at that, I'm a paper addict to be honest). No embellies this time, since I did two cards in a row with a (to me) overload of elements....

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Sparkle N Sprinkle - Anything Goes with Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder and/or Flocking
2) Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - Winter Wonderland
3) Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes

2015 Christmas Card #17

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday our optional challenge theme or twist this week is to make a step card.

Our sponsor for July is Sami Stamps, but I didn't use an image this time, only die cuts.

It's been a while since I last made a step card, and the only thought I had was to use my skates die from Tim Holtz. I used something close to chipboard, covered it with white gesso and used brown, black and silver gelatos for coloring and distressing. Diffentent dies and punches used to make the greeneries and some red berries and a paper straw were added. Papers and sentiment from Maja Design, pearls from my stash.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Come and Get It - Christmas In July
2) Crafty Boots - Stars or Stripes
3) Papertake Weekly - Don't Be A Square
4) Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

For day 5 we are playing BINGO. I used the adorable "Puppy - enough reindeer" for my card - colored with Promakers, a white gel pen and sprinkled with white frantage. All papers are from Maja Design, the frame is die cut with a frame die frm Dienamics and silver mirri card, ribbon, texture with sentiment, doily and enamel dots from my stash. A rather busy card, but I had a hard time eliminating elements this time.

    2015 Christmas Card #14

    Happy Saturday everybody!

Today is the start of a week long Christmas in July challenge over at Catch the Bug!

2nd - $50 gift card and 2 month Guest DT spot
3rd - $25 gift card and 1 month Guest DT spot

For day 1 we have the theme of "JINGLE ALL THE WAY".

I chose to play with Christmas Mouse - ornaments. I colored the image using Promarkers and a silver gel pen. The image is cut with a die from Lawnfawn. For the banner I used a Dienamics die and a sentiment that came free with a magazine. The die cut background is made with a die from Poppy and silver mirri card, and I attached it to the silver card base. I also used a snowflake die and 2 pearls.
No DPs used, which is a rarity for me.

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges as well:

Lots and lots of die cuts....

... or at least for me... Because over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday our optional challenge theme or twist this week is to make anything using your dies.
Our sponsor for July is Sami Stamps and I used an image called "Waiting for You", which I cropped to get her head only inside of the frame. An image that can be used in different ways - I love that. I colored it with a grey Promarker and attached flowers to her hair.
I've used dies from Spellbinders, Memory Box, Lawn Fawn and Marianne.
I haven't made this card for a specific occasion, so I might add a sentiment or a number to the heart panels at a later stage.

This card is also for these challenges:

    2) Creative Card Crew - #91 Die Cuts

    2015 Christmas Card #13

I love CASE challenges and over at CASEing Christmas they have a fun twist this time - you should CASE one of your own cards, a favorite and one with a non-holiday theme. I chose to CASE a card I made back in May - see the small photo or the link to the original post here.
My inspiration was the shaker part with sequins, I placed a die cut tree (Memory Box) like I did with the Eiffel Tower, and I used a pair of carolers instead of cats.
The image used I belive is one from Limitied Runs. Papers are Maja Design and stiched ovals are from Dienamics.

This card is for these challenges:
    1) CASE-ing Christmas - CASE your favorite card
    2) Simply Create Too - #89 Get ahead for Christmas
    3) Crafty Calendar - Christmas in July
    4) Challenge Up Your Life - Sequins

    New Release, Sketch and Red,White&Blue

Tuesday is new release day over at  Bugaboo and this is one of Jodie's latest images.
Though she's not specifically nautically dressed (she actually reminds me of Annie - from the movie with the same title) I thought I'd make her a nautical themed scene. I colored her with my Promarkers, and chose red, white and blue papers. The white paper is embossed using a Spellbinders EF, the DP is from Maja Design. The frame is cut using a stitched rectangle die from Dienamics, and I decorated it using Memory Box die cuts. The sentiment is cut from a paper and I also added some cheese cloth. The layout is inspired by the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges:
    1) Sketch Saturday - Sketch #368
    2) Brown Sugar – #153 Red, White & Blue

A snowflake die was used and I added a grey pearls to each centre. I used grey seambinding ribbon to attach my tags with sentiments, they're made using LOTV stamps. Paper with red and white gingham is a scrap piece, the background DP is from Maja Design.

Over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday our optional challenge theme or twist this week is to make anything related to "SUMMER". Our sponsor for July is Sami Stamps.

I colored my image using Promarkers and a white gel pen. I cut the image using a stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn and adhered it to a doily and an embossed panel.
The DP is from Pebbles, and the die cut flowers and butterfly are made with dies that came free with some magazines some time ago.

This is my last week of summer holiday and the weather in Oslo is fantastic, sunny and hot. I haven't been much at home, enjoying the weather and doing different sorts of stuff, but I'll catch up with you very soon....
