Roses in vases

There’s a new challenge over at Catch the Bug and this time we have a color challenge.

I used the image Rose Vases which I colored with Promarkers and cut apart. I placed the rose vases upon a Maja Design DP which was cut with a die from MFT.

Inkspirational #187 Gold dipped

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time Marlena has chosen the theme of "Gold dipped". An interesting theme, right?

I actually thought this was going to be easy-peasy, I love gold, but then I started to complicate things with the "dipped" part.
As  you can see I "dipped" my reindeer in gold embossing powder. The stars are stencilled with gold glitter paste, I partly dry embossed the background and stapled on some sequins.

In my head I visualized a wintery look - ombré style - going from white to more and more gold. It didn't really turrn out like I hoped it would, and no time to do a remake right now but when I get some more time on my hands I might have another go...
My teamies did a great job -please head over to the challenge blog to have a look.

Twofer Wheels

Today I have two cards to share for the Twofer Card Challenge #16 which is WHEELS.
For both cards I used dies from Tim Holtz.
I made a birthday card and a Christmas card.

1) Birthday card
On my first card I inked with a lighter blue for the sky and I used browns with a stencil to make the road. The citscape is cut with a Memory Box die, all others are Tim Holtz ones. The birthday greeting translates "You're not getting old, you're getting better"
This card is also for: Allsorts - #519 Transport

2) Christmas card
For my second card I splattered with white paint and water onto the the inked background. I stamped a greeting and some trees, then I used Tim Holtz dies for the car, tree and snowy hill.
This card is also for: Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas - #437 Anything Christmas Goes - optional theme: Include a tree or two or more

SSS #709

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug and this is my take on it, using an image (soon added to the store) colored with Promarkers.

It's a card assembled with bits and bobs: A silver tag from stash was decorated with seambinding ribbon and silver bells. A craft paper covered with silver foil, a merry mirri card die cut, Christmas word from a freebie paper and a snowflake sequin.

This card is also for:
ABC Christmas Challenge - J for Jingle
I love Promarkers - #381 Anything Goes with option of ribbon or bow

Thursday is "Oldie but Goodie" day over at Catch the Bug, and this is my DT card featuring Baby Word 03 - Boy.
I colored with Promarkers and fussy cut the image before mounting it on foam. The word baby is a stamp from Lawn Fawn. I added the panel on top of a die cut frame.
