Inkspirational #190 - Three or five

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time it's the easy option of using 3 or 5 of something.

I went with 3s and added poinsettias sparkled up with frantage and sequins.
The paperdolls and chipboard sentiment are from Tim Holtz. The striped DP is Maja Design, the vintage one was a leftover piece.

Please head over to the challenge blog to see inspiration from my teamies and our guest designer - Milla from Mustesormi blog.

I gave the girl a paper pieced hat. All stamps, except the speech bubble and sentiment, are from Penny Black.

      Inkspirational #189 - Garden

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time it's a garden theme. There are plenty of options with this one, please head over to the challenge blog to see inspiration from my teamies and our guest designer - Milla.

I don't use butterflies often, but here they have taken center stage. I've used butterfly dies from Penny Black. I added a coat of white gesso and sprinkled on some white and gold frantage.  I used a Tim Holtz stencil for the blooms. The sentiment came free with a magazine. The colors are a lighter in real life, I was unable to capture the right shades with my camera...

Twofer Card Challenge, Bees and Sketches

I have two cards to share, for the Twofer Card Challenge #17, which is BEES.
For both cards I used dies from Memory Box. The choice was rather easy as it was the only bee element I found in my stash of rubber stamps and dies. It's quite fiddly to put these bees together,  adding the stripes and all. I added glitter glue to the wings and gave the bees a coat of glossy accent as I wanted to make sure every glued element wold stay in place.
I made a birthday card and a 'just because' card.

      1) Birthday card
On my first card I used foam stamps from Tim Holtz to ake the flowers and leaves sing black ink and Distress Oxides. The birthday greeting came free with a magazine. I cut the sentiment with a stitched cloud/speech bubble die from MFT. Washi tape strips added to the side to mimic the Sunday Stamps sketch.

      This card is also for:
Happy Little Stampers Dies June- Always Anything Goes with Dies
      Sunday Stamps - #206 Sketch

      2) An uplifting 'just because' card
For my second card I used a sentiment and flower stamps from Penny Black. I had planned to go with no coloring on this one but I couldn't resist adding blue lines around the images to make them stand out a bit more.

      Stripes and Christmas flowers

The number of Christmas cards I need increases from year to year, and I try to avoid having to making lots last minute. I’m no good at creating under pressure. So here’s another one done and ready.

The Art of Stripes: Over 30 ways to wear stripes: Amazon.co.uk: Hardie Grant, Libby VanderPloeg: 9781784881511: Books I was inspired by the book title for the stripes, and also the colors of the cover, although my DP is a much deeper red that the woman’s trousers. The poinsettias are a traditional Christmas element, but I feel that the look of the design is more modern than traditional? I cut the flowers from fun foam and added a few pearls and sequins.

      This card is for:
The Library Challenge - The Art of Stripes
Happy Little Stampers Christmas - June - Anything Goes + Non-traditional

      Eyewear Day

This is my DT card for "Eyewear Day" and the "Humor me Wednesday"-post over at Catch the Bug.

The image is named Book Sitter 2 and I colored it using Promarkers, fussy cut and mounted it onto a die cut bench.
The tree is made with a die from Memory Box, I used diffrent DIs and embossing powder on it.
The background is made with papers from Maja Design, cut with a Penny Black die.

      Inkspirational #188 - woman photo

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time it's a photo challenge. I picked the simple choice of using a stamp from Stamping Bella with a long legged girl.

It wasn't deliberate but this card actually turned out to be a one layer card - I don't make many of those.
My image was stamped over the edge - that was delibarete - I did a little bit of coloring, stamped a bold sentiment and added frantage for sparkle.

Please head over to the challenge blog to see inspiration from my teamies and our guest designer - Milla from Mustesormi blog.
