Flowers and dry embossing

This is one of my favorite stamps, a rubber wood mounted one from Penny Black. I stamped with white ink on kraft before I stamped a second time with lavender ink for the flowers and green for the leaves. The vase is stamped on grey paper, fussy cut and mounted on foam. Sentiment is also from Penny Black. For the dry embossed part I wanted to create a table cloth. So I used my sizzix big bird embossing folder and used the bird's chest and stomach region to make the table cloth. To the right of the card you can see the ef used.

Sassy gal

I have made this card for this week's Saturday challenge over at Catch the Bug, it's color inspiration time.

I used the image sassy gal shower and colored her with Promarkers. I used a bathtub stamp from Kanban and paper pieced the towel. The frame is a stamp I received from my blog friend, Monika of Creative with Monika (thanks!). The sentiment is in Norwegian.

Twofer Card Challenge - Card for a woman

Today I have two cards to share, but to make things a little easier I will make two separate posts, but you can see both cards in the smaller photo.

The February theme over at Twofer Card Challenge is hearts. I made one baby card (in the post here) and one for a female that can be used for Mother's Day or any other occasion. I used the same Memory Box stitched heart die on both cards.

On the feminine card I used the heart die to cut out a portion of the stamped and stencilled panel and placed it back on foam. Both the image and stencil are Tim Holtz. The sentiment is Penny Black. I was inspired by the colors of this week's Color Throwdown photo.

This card is for Twofer Card Challenge as well as these challenges:
Color Throwdown - #480
Cardz 4 Galz - #65 Stamping

Twofer Card Challenge - Baby card

Today I have two cards to share, but to make things a little easier I will make two separate posts, but you can see both cards in the smaller photo.

The February theme over at Twofer Card Challenge is hearts. I made one baby card and one for a female that can be used for Mother's Day or any other occasion (card in the next post, here). I used the same Memory Box stitched heart die on both cards.

On the baby card I used the heart die to emboss the white panel (on the feminine card I used it to cut out a portion of the stamped and stencilled panel and placed it back on foam). I also included a smaller die cut heart from the same set. The paper is Maja, the image is Bugaboo and the sentiment is Kaiserkraft. I also used my border wonky stitched frame die from MFT.

Valentine Pup

As some of you might have read already I've donated a few cards for the "Cards for Little Hearts" drive - you can read more about it here. The drive for heart month is now closed for delivery this year, but there is need of general cards all year round and there is also a drive for winter holiday cards later this year.
This is one of the cards I donated. I used one of Jodie's many adorable dog images available in the Bugaboo shop - this one is part of the Valentine Pup set, along with a stamped envelope and pen from Lawn Fawn.

This card is for:
Addicted to Stamps - Have a Heart
Crazy 4 Challenges - #421 - Make a Valentine, Anniversary, Thinking of You or card showing support

Die cut rose and musical notes background

I debated with myself for a long time whether I should go for a kraft card base or a white one. I'm still not sure. I might make a similar design with a white base too, that will end m internal discussion.
The muscial noted background is made with a Prima stamp, the sentiment is Penny Black. The rose is made with gold paper and Marianne die. I manually cut the frame or window and made a slightly broader one to get the inner frae of kraft. The panel is mounted on foam.

Color + Love + Feather

I love this dream catcher die and I wanted to use it for a color challenge, a love challenge and a feather theme challenge - they are listed below.
I colored the dream catcher with grey Promarker and added Wisk of Stella for glitter. The feathers are brushed with a pink DI. The sentiment is stamped and I used red for the YOU.
Grey DI used for the stenciled backgrond. A die cut red heart, a left over from a MB hearts border die, was attached with foam.

Sending love Owl

I made a card using stamps from three different stamp sets and brands. I kept to mainly red and grey with a hint of brown and orange to color the owl's beek and the tree branch.
I have used the owl mainly for Christmas cards, but I also think he works for Valentine and cards for special friends.

My first bottle tag

It's my turn to show an "Anything but a card" project over at Catch the Bug. I've wanted to try and make a bottle tag for a while, and this is my first attempt of such a project. My starting point and inspiration was the DP and I chose an image I felt suited the busy pattern. This is a more fussy and detailed design than most of I've made lately, but I had lots of fun using left over bits and bobs from my stash, like the bow, the banner, the little rose and the butterfly.

Valentine monsters

I've sent my heart month cards off to Christina Hor for her "Cards for Little Hearts" drive - you can read more about it here. This card was one of them. I used a Bugaboo image, a Stamploration stencil (a gift from Mimi) with pink DOx ink and sentiment and envelopes stamps from Lawn Fawn. As a contrast to the pink I decided to give the happy monsters blue colors. It was a quick card to make.
