Gift card holder with penguin

Monday is ‘anything but a card’ inspiration day over at Catch the Bug. Last Christmas I realized a few gift card holders would have come in handy, so this year I’ll be sure to make some.

So, my first one is ready. Here I’ve used some papers that have been in my stash for ages, I believe they are from Bo Bunny.  I colored up a penguin and added glitter glue for snow.
I added the gift tag with twine. This way the gift card holder could easily be regifted to someone else, if the person receiving this decide to do so. In my family I see we reuse gift bags from year to year, I think it’s a beautiful little tradition of ours, and environment friendly too.

INKspirational - Use your stash

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time Carol has chosen the theme of USE YOUR STASH.
I encourage you to head over to the challenge blog for inspiration from the rest of the team.

I kind of went 'all in'...

So what did I put on this card?
There are 3 different papers from a Kaiserkraft pad. The sky I decorated with gold embossed moon and stars - they are hidden somewhere behind all the frantage. 3 die cut snowflakes with liquid enamel dots in the center. I used a Tim Holtz die set to make the village, very fiddly, and I completed the scene with some additional trees and fences made with dies from another set. The sentiment sticker is also T. Holtz and the cute hedgehog is made with a stamp from Penny Black. So lots of stuff on here, even for me.

Candy cane

Thursday is "Oldie but Goodie" day over at Catch the Bug, and this is my DT card featuring Knobby Knees Christmas - Candy Cane, colored with Promarkers and a white gel pen.

She's got glitter glue on the fur trimming of her hat. I doodled with a black pen and used a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.

The papers are Tim Holtz, I machine stitched around the edges.

Stars, Sentiment in focus and Chistmas

Today I have two cards to share for the Twofer Card challenge #13 - for both cards I used a star stencil from Memory Box.

1) Birthday
My first card was inspired by the theme over at LIM, one layer with focus on the sentiment.
I used a woodmounted stamp from Penny Black, I placed it in the centre of the card base and stenciled stars in soft colors on the backgrond. For an extra 'omph' I sprinkled a gold and white frantage mix.
I'd like to enter this card in:
Less Is More - #389 One Layer Card + Focus on Sentiment

    2) Christmas
For my second cad I stenciled stars all ove the backgrond, bshed on a little bit of ble ink and sed a gold heat embossed globe die cut from Tim Holtz. The Santa and sleigh is ade with a Marianne die, the sentiment was a freebie, I heat eboossed with gold onto vellum.
I'd like to enter this card in:

    The note

I love the little bunny from Lawn Fawn, he's so versatile. Here he is writing again, a letter to Santa, which was a freebie with a past magazine. The ink and pen are stamps from another LF set, the sentiment is Avere Elle.
I used a leftover piece of DP and strip of kraft to make the scene. I chose a DP with hearts for the background.
I was inspied by the current book cover of The note" - the title, the hearts and pop of red.

Navy and Yellow - Birds - Paper Piecing

Today I have a clean and simple card to share, inspired by the colors of navy and yellow.
The birds, bow and balloons are from a MFT stamp set, the string, the sentiment and clouds are from Lawn Fawn.

I colored the birds with Promarkers, the balloons are paper pieced with a piece of Kaiserkraft DP.

        Text

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time we have a word prompt: TEXT. There are many ways to intepret this theme, I encourage you to head over to the challenge blog for inspiration from the rest of the team.

For my card I chose a cream colored card base, die cut it with a MFT die and distressed the edges with brown ink. Then I used a script stamp, part of a Christmas set from Tim Holtz, brown ink and a lighter DI to highlight the stamped area. I took a sentiment and a fussy cut bunny - both from Lawn Fawn -  and a feather from Fiskars and arranged them to make it look like the bunny has written the sentiment.

        Kitty Angel Love

Tuesday is "New release day" over at Catch the Bug, and this is Kitty Angel Love, cute isn't she?
I colored Kitty with Promarkers, a white gel pen and some glitter glue. I teamed her up with die cut cross stitched hearts and an embossed silver background. The sentiment  tag is from Avery Elle.

        Caroling mice

These caroling mice are from Penny Black. I made them a scene of die cut buildings with trees, fences and a lamp post. I heat embossed a sentiment in white, added white frantage and three die cut stars. The ground has glitter glue for snow.
The white panel is die cut with a pierced die. The blue frame was a leftover from another project.

        This card is for:

        Sketch and Wizard

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug and this is my take on it, using Wizardry Wizard 06 colored with Promarkers.

As the wizard has stars on his clothes I decided to change the circles of the sketch to stars. The larger stars are die cut and decorated with faux stitching, the smaller ones were part of another Bugaboo image which was fussy cut. I also added a few enamel dots. The colorful DP is from Lawn Fawn.
