Some of you might remember that I showed a stenciled poinsettia card last week, with inlaid sentiment, liquid pearls and sequins (you can see the card here) and grey and pink colors.
For this card I used the same cencept and materials, but in traditional Christmas colors andwith a different layout.
It's a quick card to make, and I'll probably make even more of these with variations in colors or layout.

Sketch and masculine Christmas card
Crafting wise I'm in Christmas mode and mood and so I made another Christmas card, this time with my favorite item for this season - reindeers. I was inspired by a sketch and making it masculine.

I used non traditional colors. Deer stamp is a wood mounted one from Penny Black. I added ribbon with a gold bell and a snowflake metal picee I received from Mervi (thanks!).
This card is for:
Tuesday Morning Sketches - #412 Sketch
Penny Black and more - July - For the boys
Cardz 4 Guyz - #174 Christmas in July

Stencilled poinsettias
For this card I started off by sponging through a Tim Holtz stencil with grey DI, then I added pale pink to the background. I die cut "Merry", added several layers and used the inlaid technique. Sequins, silver liquid pearls and "Christmas" made with my Dymo. I added a strip of silver mirri on each side and mounted the panel onto a kraft card base.
Very quick, and I've already started on a second card in different colors and layout, but with the same concept.
This card is for:
Happy Little Stampers Christmas - July - Die Cuts
City Crafter Challenge - #372 Beginning with S (silver mirri card, silver liquid pearls, sequins, stenciling)

Red and pink
I don't have a project for Catch the Bug's third day of Christmas in July today, as I in all the excitement of making my project forgot one important criteria, related to the colors. So I'll keep that one for another day and instead will show you a Christmas card with no stamps, in red and pink, being inspired by the challenge of using two colors only (with a little bit of white included too, for the card base and doily).

Supplies used: Die cut deer, sticker sentiment, 2 DPs, doily, ribbon and pearls.
This card is for:
City Crafter Challenge - #370 Two colors only (Red and pink)
The Merry Christmas Challenge - Ribbon

Colored card base and a CASE
I very seldom make one layer cards, but I thought it would be fun to try with a colored card base, with LIM and AAA doing a joint challenge for a fortnight. And I also had the CASE card from Time Out in mind, being inspired by the layout with the image extending over the card base.
I took out my new Penny Black roses woodmounted stamp, a with sympathy sentiment in Norwegian and an old, unused doily stamp from my stash. I used brown ink and clear EP for the image and sentiment, white for the doily table cloth. Peach colored card base.

Red, blue, yellow and white
The Color Throwdown team wants us to use red, blue, yellow and white for this week's challenge.
Take away the yellow and this color scheme would be within my comfort zone. I decided I had to add either a little yellow or a little red, yellow won so I could add a sunny feeling to my card, red was used for accents (her earrings, shoes and belt).
The lady is a Tom Holtz stamp I paper pieced the dress and stamped her upper body twice, popped it up with foam for a little diemension. The sentiment is cut from a DP.
This card is for:
Color Throwdown - #450
4 Crafty Chicks- #358 Stamping-No Digi's

How old would you be....
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are? I loved that sentiment as soon as I saw it. It's a Penny Black wood mounted stamp, this one is going to get inked often.
This card was super eas and quick to make. I used a Tim Holtz stamp for the lady, left her totally uncolored, and a stencil with black DI. I cut the panel using my new stitched die from MFT. 3 pearls for an additional feminine touch.

Red, white and blue
I love using red, white and blue colors, those are also the colors of the Norwegian flag.
But it's not my go to colors for simple designs. I've attempted to keep it CAS, don't know if there's enough white space, but once I ha rummaged through my stash of dies and decided what supplies to use the card came together really quickly.
I used a Tim Holtz globe die, a Die-Version one for the airplane and one from MFT for the stitched borders.
I heat embossed a Tim Holtz sentiment onto vellum.
This card is for:
Cards in Envy - RED WHITE BLUE
Less Is More - Colours of your Flag

Yesterday they celebrated their Independence Day in the USA, and I've used the image Stella July USA from the Bugaboo store for this occasion.
I used papers with Stars and Stripes from Maja Design and a New York cityscape die from Dienamics, as well as a stitched frame one.
A few peel of stickers in the corners, a stamped sentiment and my card was ready. The colors of the Norwegian flag is red, white and blue, a color scheme I love to use on my cards.

Picking flowers
This is my favorite ADFD digi. I remember how I loved picking flowers for my mum when I was a child, she always seemed so surprised and happy when I brought her my hand picked flowers. Now that I'm older I can undeerstand why.
I had this image in my stash, all colored up with Promarkers earlier this year, and now I found it ready to be cut to shape and glued onto a card.
I chose a purple paper with shimmer effect, dry embossed the bottom part using a freebie embossing folder. I cut a circle, used a blue DI to sponge the centre and added a sentiment in Norwegian that wotks for an congratulations occasion or birthday. Flowers from my stash.
This card is for:
City Crafter Challenge - #368 - Let's Go Outside and Play (flower picking)

Fluttering butterflies
I made this card being inspired by the LIM sketch as well as the colors of the Inkspirational photo.
I don't use butterflies much on my cards, for a reason unknown even to me, but I have this stamp from Nemory Box I really like.
I started by heat embossing the image, masking off areas using my own made stencil, then I used two blue DIs and blue brusho. I added WOS to the butterflies and colored the smallest ones with a white gel pen. 3 sequins were added for a little bit of shine.
This card is for:

Boy and Dog
Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug and
this week it's time for a photo challenge.
I was inspired by the licking dog but chose a boy character instead of a girl - you can find the image here.
The image is colored with Promarkers and I stenciled a wall for them to sit on. Papers are from my scrap box (one of many, lol).
I added a few staples and a button with twine.

Bingo and Stella
Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug and
this week it's BINGO TIME!

I used the row of button, Bugaboo image and sentiment. And for my card I chose the hilarious Stella August Passport with a sentiment I find to be so fitting.
Lots of circles here, and I also included a wine glass charm. I scored the DP for the background. The bright pink paper was a gift from Mimi, thanks!

Birthday fish and lots of designer papers
Today is "Oldie but Goodie" day over at Catch the Bug and I've made a card with an image called Make it Snapppy Birthday Fishes.
I fussy cut the fish and bubbles and layered the parts onto a die cut circle panel.
The fish is colored with Promarkers and I added glitter glue to the bubbles.
Plenty of patterns here that I felt could pass for bubbles and sea weed.

Groom & Groom
I was asked to make a wedding card for a groom and groom, and this is what I came up with.
I decided on a top hat stamp as main element, stamped onto a brownish paper with structure and fussy cut. Then I added some die cut hearts (using Memory Box dies) and made a shaker card with heart sequins in silver and red. The frame (made with a Dienamics die) is glitter paper. The background inside the shaker is heat embossed vellum and I used a leftover piece of DP with tartan pattern, mounted onto a piece of burlap paper. I added a stamped greeting and a single flower.
I'm off for a week's holiday in the sun (or so I hope). I'm not going to be much around this week but I've got a couple of DT posts scheduled.
This card is for:
The Male Room - #62 Off the Edge
Come and Get It - Weddings
Allsorts - #419 Use at least 2 dies

Window and House
I'm in Christmas making mode. And that is a good thing, because I'm behind on my schedule of making 4-5 cards a month.
So there were two words that inspired by and led to this design - window and house.
I had a clean-up in my craft room, and I sorted all the already printed and colored images and die cut elements, and the house and branches were all read to be used.
The house was stamped on kraft, colored with a gel pen, and there's a stamped fence in there as well, hidden in between my die cut hills. The branches were treated with gesso and glitter. Then I die cut a window with a die from Marianne and a lamp post with a Memory Box one. I added embossing powder to the lamp post. I decided to go for a shaker design, adding two different glitters and some sequins.

Neopolitan
Neopolitan is this week's challenge over at LIM. It's the ice cream I know as 'tricolor', yummy and perfect when you can't decide on just one flavor. I used two cupcake stamps, colored them in pink and brown, added a bit of glitter and some pearls. I used pink DI and a Tim holtz stencil on a cream colored paper, much the color of vanilla ice cream. And I stamped a birthday greeting. I've come to love doing color challenges. I used to find them too tricky, they still are challenging, but the hardest part is to settle on what stamps to use, then it gets easier. I rummage through all my stamps before I settle on one, it's a good reminder to see what I already have in my stash, and it's extra fun whenever I get to use a NBUS one.

I finally made a tag...
Today it's my turn to show you an 'Anything but a card' project over at Catch the Bug.
I've made a tag with Teddy Christmas Stocking, colored him up with Promarkers and a white gel pen, and I used loose glitter for all the fur trimmings.
The tree is cut with a die that came free with a magazine. I used die cut ovals as my tag base. I'm not really into making tags but my goal is to make all tags for this year's pressies. Ok, we'll see about that, but at least everyone should have one present with an own made tag. In any case, at least the children, lol.
I'd like to enter my tag in these challenges as well:
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas - Anything Christmas Goes
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra - Always Anything Christmas Goes
Polkadoodles - #22 Anything Goes

Color Throwdown wants us to use blue, soft pink, gold and white for this week's challenge, and those are the only colors I used.

I was thinking of using flowers or something nautical, then went with a Christmas theme instead.
Pink sky, blue stamped trees (Hero Arts) and blue panel (it may appear to be black in this photo, but it's a dark blue), gold deer made with a Memory box die), white for the stitched die cut hills and stamped sentiment, I also added a die cut Merry sprinkled with frantage in white and gold.
For sparkle I used Perfect Pearls on the pink sky and some stickles to the trees. Nice IRL, but not very visible here.
This card is for:
Color Throwdown - #445
Allsorts - Christmas in June
Sparkles Forum Challenges - #92 Four or more legs

Card made with gifts
It's been a while since I last made a vintage card. This one was made using several gifts.
From Mimi I got the harlequin patterned paper which I cut out two pieces of with my Kort&Godt shaped dies. The tag and the die cut leaf, which I stamped, was also from Mimi.
The powder pink lace I received from Mervi. The label for the sentiment I cut with a die from a set I won from Brenda on a previous challenge over at Allsorts.
The lady image was a gift from my mom, I think. I don't remember where I got the doily, it was fairly big, perfect for the size of my design.
The rose ribbon I bought on a trip abroad, cheesecloth and flowers from my stash.

Urban life 1950s style
Urban. Well, yes, however 1950s style. Made it a shaker card. Used my Memory Box building die and a car die I got as a gift from my sister. A piece of washi to ground the scene. Upper part was stenciled as it felt empty. Sequin flowers. Red and black cardstock to match the woman's outfit.
This card is for:
Inkspirational - Word Prompt: Urban
