Cat Clown

I'm here to share my DT card for the new "Stella Says Sketch" challenge over at Catch the Bug, featuring an image from Mini Set Kidz clowns.
I used a circle die to cut it and to make its panel. I used a DP from My Mind's Eye as it reminded my of clowns' noses and I used Promarkers in colors that picked up a few of those on the paper.
The upper part is embossed with a chevron embossing folder from Darice. Finally I added 3 red pearls from my stash, again picking up the theme of a clown's nose. I machine stitched with white thread around the edges. I stamped two birthday sentiments.

I also want to include a tip for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge: If in lack of mojo I search for a sketch that I like. Then I choose an image. Once the image is selected I choose DPs and embellies that match  the theme of my image. Then I color the image so that I can coordinate the colors to match my papers.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Brown Sugar –#157 Animals
2) Seize The Birthday - Birthday + Topping -Embossing
3) Fairy Tale - #123 Boys/Men
4) Top Tip Tuesday - Bingo (embossing+sentiment+dies)

love how you picked up on the colours of your DP in your colouring. Great to hear how you get your mojo going! This would however freak my CAS heart! Here is what I do-look for a card I have made before that makes me happy and just make a few changes-like the colour or the placement of the sentiment, and make it again. Or look for a card on my pinterest board that I love and be inspired by it!

I have read very gladly your way to work when you are in low mojo. I have never follow a sketch, sooner or later I must try. :)
Your cute kitten matches perfectly with all the elements of the card, your system works very well!!
Love expecially the dp and the stitched borders. The chevron embossed background is so stylish in white with the red pearls!
Have a lovely week

This is one cute kitty with his little color & party hat. Love that red nose too. Wonderful dp and embossing backgrounds. I like the way you've done the partial circle treatment. I haven't tried this as yet. (CB almost made it that way!) I like your border stitching too. Lots of fun extra details make this one just beautiful. TFS
