Twofer and sketches

Here are my two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge #38, where the theme is cakes and cupcakes.
For both cards I used a stamp set from Hero Arts that allows you to build your own cake.
I made a birthday card and a wedding card, each card was based on a sketch - I love using sketches.

1) BIRTHDAY CARD

I needed a birthday card for my teenaged nephew and I made him a card with a chocolate cake with candles and stars. I cut a banner from a scrap of DP and stenciled the background with a Pinfresh Studio stencil and Speckled egg DOx, I love this colors and I think it looks great with brown. The letters are old chipboard ones that I colored with a brown Promarker and a white Posca pen.

This card is also for Freshly Made Sketches - #485

2) WEDDING CARD

I'm in no rush for a wedding card, but I have none in my stash, so at some point it will come in handy. I I heat embossed the sentiment and the mandala (stamp from Papirdersign) with white. The background was made with a pink DOx and gold paint. I die cut a frame, found a piece of lace and flowers from my stash.

This card is also for  Sunday Stamps - #256 Sketch

Two fabulous cards Pia, how clever of you to make the same stamp work for a masculine card and also such a pretty feminine style card.

Genius use of the sketches for your two designs, Pia, thereby eliminating any doubt, and I love them both! Noah will really like his card and I will bookmark it as it's not easy coming up with teenage boy ideas. Great job dotting on all those white dots! And your wedding cake is everything a wedding cake card should be! It's a wonderful combination of modern and classic! Thank you for playing in TCC #38! Hugs, Darnell
