Holiday in Venice

For today's card I've used one of my favorite stamps - a cling stamp from Penny Black with the views of Venice. Never been there, but it's on my wishlist of places to see. What I love about this image, apart from the design, is that it's so easy to use with various designs and techniques. In the past, I've paper pieced her, I've colored her with Promarkers and Distress Inks, but today I chose to leave her uncolored, having stamped her onto a DP. Previously  I've cut her into a square shape, into a circle and today it was the oval shape's turn!
You can't see much of the lace, which I bought during a trip to Latvia. I often stock up on lace while abroad. The flowers and DP for the image are from Prima, the striped DP is Maja Designs and pearls are from Storyteller. I didn't want to ruin the elegant look with a sentiment, and in this way I can use this card for many kinds of occasions.

Those of you who visited my blog last week know I participated in Bugaboo's Christmas in July 7 day event. Guess what??? I was the lucky winner of the Grand Prize!!! I'm so happy, look at what I won:
Images 7 Free per month for 6 months ($126 value)
Free Bugaboo Christmas in July images
4 month Guest Designer Term

This card is for these challenges:
1) Make My Monday - Vacation
2) Open-Minded Challenges - #15 Vacation Related
3) Sweet Stampin - Use your favorite Stamp
4) ABC Challenge - P is for Pearls
5) Tuesday Throwdown - #204 Take Us On Vacation
6) Eclectic Ellapu - Travel/Holiday

Firstly...WOO HOO!! Congratulations on the HUGE win and secondly...WOW! You should be a spokesperson for Penny Black as you promoted the versatility of this image. Your card is sensational and I love this version of her too. The imported lace is gorgeous and I can't stop oogling the scalloped edged roses from Prima.
Fantastic make Pia.
Hugs and have a great week!

It's great when you find a versatile stamp like this - they really work for the price you paid. I remember some of your previous creations with this stamp and this is equally lovely - very elegant- almost understated, but the flowers add glamour. I actually popped over after spotting this in my blog feed but I notice you have also entered this at MMM, so...thanks for joining us at Make My Monday!

Great news! I thought you should win as your cards were fabulous.

This one tiday is stunning. She is so elegant and you were right to leave her as is. She does not need any colour this time. I love your design and I can wee the pretty lace peeking through.

My eldest, (I call her Glamour Girl on my blog)...well, she has this look. Tall, slim, elegant and loves wearing outfits like this. She comes with her sister and the kiddies to visit us at the RV and arrives in high heels...has to borrow flip flops!

I should get this stamp too so I can make cards for her.

I googled Oslo's weather...it said you are getting 30 degrees in the afternoons. Does it get muggy and humid when it gets that hot?
Our RV resort is on Shuswap Lake. It is usually a dry heat here...but can get up to 42 degrees. I melt but DH and my girls love the heat!
In the city where we live (Vancouver BC it is usually around 28 up to 36 in the summer but it is a humid heat...that gets exhausting so I do know what you mean.
Congrats again Pia...you so deserved it!
