INK #253 - Plaid

For our new challenge at Inkspirational we have the theme of PLAID, chosen by Marlena and yours truly. I love plaid patterns, or gingham or tartan or whatever you like to call it, and this time I chose it for the background and also the paper pieced outfit of the little girl from Stamping Bella.

For the most part I aim to buy gifts, but sometimes a gift card or money is the best option, and then it's nice to personalize it with a handmade giftcard- or money holder. This one is kept closed with white string.

Plaid papers are from Maja Design, I used a scalloped border die from MFT, the others are Pinkfresh Studio.

Please head over to the challenge blog to see the my INK-teamies have made.

This card is also for:
Fab n Funky
- #540 Checks and/or Plaids
Moving along with the Times
- #136 Anything But A Card
November Rudolph Days Challenge

I love plaid patterns too (even if I haven't so much of them) and absolutely love how you combined that green and red paper with the super cute paper-pieced little girl, the holly and the scallop border in the centre. The string is the perfect touch! The design is very sweet, and I have to say that this gift card is one of my favourite from your latest makes. Pinned!

Great idea to dress up a gift card like this. I am not a fan of plaid but here you make it look so adorable with her gorgeous outfit, what a cutie and resting on the twine. Love it xx

It's great that you layered the plaids but they still are distinct from each other. This is a great, cute design.
