INK #372 - Christmas in July

At Inkspirational the new challenge is a word prompt: Christmas in July.

Normally I make many Christmas cards in July, but with this heat I've been unable to make much at all, and so so far one Christmas card only! Rain and cooler temperatures have been predicted for today and I hope that will be the case.

I have used a Spellbinder embossing folder, and the image is from Mintay's Christmas book, I used a bauble die set from Craft It. Pine die from Papirdesign and sentiment from Gummiapan.
I inked the edges of the bauble and mounted it on foam for a little dimension.

Check out the challenge blog to see what what my INK-teamies have made too!

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 7

So the final day of this year's Catch the Bug Christmas in July event is here, it's day 7. We have a color scheme for you to follow.

I used a freebie paper from a magazine - I've got to use some of my freebie stash for this event -for the background and the word "Merry". The Bugaboo freebie, which will be found here, was colored with Promarkers. The die cut word is made with a Tim Holtz die.

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 6

It's day 6 of our Christmas in July event over at Catch the Bug and we have a photo inspiration for you. There's a Santa with his list, so that's what I used.

The Santa can be found here, I used a freebie stamp for the list, and the presents stamp is from Magnolia. I kept the presents uncolored. For the background I used red Dox. The sentiment is made with my Dymo and a die from Concord&9th.

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 5

We're celebrating Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug, and for day 5 we want you to make us laugh.

This was a really quick card to make. I colored up the JJ "Naughty" Christmas List, stamped a sentiment with red ink and added a border of washi tape. Simples!

It's a sassy image, not one I'd put on a card to everyone, that would be risky, but I do know a few ladies I'm certain would appreciate this kind of card.

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 4

Today is day 4 of our Christmas in July event over at Catch the Bug. I've used the flash freebie and the middle horizontal row of the bingo chart.
I made the background with a Tim Holtz stencil and gold Nuvo expanding mousse. The edges are distressed with Altenew Enchanted gold ink. The sentiment is made with dies from Concord&9th. "Season" is covered in glitter paste - I love a bit of sparkle on Christmas cards.

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 2

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug, with a week of daily challenges. For day 2 we have a sketch.

Like for yesterday's card I used freebie papers, 3 of them that came with different magazines. I really like the combination of red and aqua for Christmas. The image is Stocking Santa Present. The die used is Penny Black antique franme

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 1

Today starts our Christmas in July event over at Catch the Bug. It's my favorite event of the year. We start off with a theme: Santa's work shop

For my card I used christmas kidz 01, colored with Promarkers. The DP with all the presents came a freebie with a magazine a while  (years?) back. I placed the image onto a die cut holly wreath from Amy Design, covered with glitter paste. I found some silver bells in my stash and added it to twine. I fussy cut the stamped sentiment.
