TioT - Pretty papers

Over at Try it on Tuesday our new challenge theme is "Pretty Papers". I have so many pretty papers I can choose from as it seems I've been hoarding them over the years, but Maja Design has always been one of my favorites so I chose papers from there.

I don't have a big supply of butterfly items, but I won these dies earlier this year and I think they are so pretty. I die cut some borders, stamped a sentiment and added some bling and my card was done,

Tag shaped birthday card with a plane

This might look like a tag, but it's a tag shaped card with a top fold.
I used a cute bunny and plane image from a set from My Favorite Things and made a stencilled cloudy sky as background for the first tag layer. I also added some stamped fussy cut clouds.
For the second layer I used a stamp with a repeat pattern of "gratulerer", which is what we use to say congratulations or happy birthday in Norwegian.
From my stash I took yellow ribbon, white string and a plane metal charm.
My youngest nephew is turning 8 later this week and I think this is the card I will be giving him.

INK #294 - Travel Moodboard

At Inkspirational we have a moodboard for you to play with and I was inspired by the travel theme, like the map and the wings. I needed a card for a colleague and the theme was spot on for her.
I made a background a stamp set from Aall & Create as well a numbers from Tim Holtz. I die cut the airplane and the sentiment.from glitter paper .To make the design a bit more feminine I added two cut out flowers and some dew drop like pearls.

Back in blogland - TioT 3 Colors

I'm back in blogland after a much needed break and holiday away in the sun. Now I'm back home, to cooler temperatures and grey clouds, which is perfect weather conditions for spending time in the craft room and visiting others blogs!

Over at Try it on Tuesday our new challenge theme is "Use 3 colors".
I made a one layer sympathy card using the faux embossing technique and the colors kraft, brown and white. The sentiment is heat embossed. The flower stamp is from Penny Black.

INK #292 - EMBOSS YOUR BACKGROUND

At Inkspirational Julia has chosen the theme this time, and it's to emboss your background - you can heat emboss or dry emboss, as long it's emossed you're good.
I took the opportunity to make a Christmas card. To make the snowflake pattern stand out more I swiped my white ink pad over the reaised area. I added a die cut snowflake, a die constructed gnome and a die cut sentiment, using glitter paper for some additional sparkle.

TioT - Birds and/or feathers

Over at Try it on Tuesday our new challenge theme is "Birds and/or Feathers".

Several years ago I boughT an embossing folder with a corresponding die from Sizzix, this is the first time I'm using them. I teamed up the bird with a die cut Christmas sentiment and leaf and I decorated using some white pearls, courtesy of Gundi/Papierelle and a challenge win. The kraft background is stamped with a white ink and an old Tim Holtz script stamp.

INK# 291 Seasonal

At Inkspirational we have the theme of SEASONAL for our challenge. So what do we mean by seasonal? Consider the four seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter - and create cards/projects based on occasions that are quite 'specific' to those seasons. I chose the season of winter when we celebrate Christmas.

I made a card using no stamps. The frame is made with a layering stencil from Pinkfresh and I used cut outs from a DP to make the scene with birds. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz sticker.

May Card Chain Challenge Reveal 2023

This is the card I sent to Marga in Spain. I was inspired by the colors and the theme of friendship. I used a stencil from Simon Hurley, a stamp from StampingBelnna and the stars are fussy cut and made with a Lawn Fawn stamp. To get additional stars I added gold splatter. Coloring with metallic watercolor paints.

In return I received a lovely card from Carol in the UK. We have been following eachother for years and it feels extra special to see and  be able to tocuh one of her beautiful cards in real life. Carol, I loved the card!

TioT - Make it Masculine

Over at Try it on Tuesday our new challenge theme is a favorite of mine, which is "Make it Masculine". Having 5 nephews and no nieces have resulted in a much larger need for masculine makes than feminine ones over the years.

I love the ocean and so I went with a nautical design, using scrap paper strips, precut die cuts from Scrapboys, enamel dots, gauze and a sentiment from Tim Holtz. The layout was inspired by a sketch, another challenge theme favorite of mine.

TioT - Keep it simple

Over at Try it on Tuesday the challenge of "Keep it simple" has been running for a week, but there is still one week left for you to join. Keep it simple can be interpreted as clean and simple or just something that was simple to make.

I made a background quikly, using a stamp set from Aall & Create and some birthday greetings in Norwegian.
The image is an old Meljens digi, I found the image in my stash already colored up, fussy cut and ready to use, it was intended for a previous project but not used. I popped the image up with foam and added it to the stamped card base.

INK# 290 Moodboard (peach and green)

At Inkspirational we have a moodboard for yout to play with for the next 2 weeks.
It didn't take me long to make up my mind about what supplies to use for this challenge. I was immediately drawn to the butterfly image and the color composition of the bottom middle picture in this moodboard.
My stencil is from Altenew, the butterflies are all part of one big Memory Box stamp, I cut the image apart and used some of them.
A sstamped sentiment in Norwegian and golden splatter, and that was it.

INK #289 - Mini

At Inkspirational we have MINI as our challenge theme for the next 2 weeks. I love this theme and the possibilities are endless!

I chose to go mini in size with my projects, making mini envelopes, using Sizzix Postale die set. I used papers from Scrapboys Old farm collection with frames to die cut the envelopes. I used several stamps from the Tim Holtz Tiny toadstools and Field note sets. Coloring done with my Posca pencils.

This is the card I sent to Dawn in New Zealand. I was inspired by the colors and the sketch. I used a Tim Holtz stencil and a Lavinia fairy stamp. It's a one layer card a part from the rhinestones added,
