I really liked the card to CASE over at TimeOut, so I wanted to give it a go. My first attempt turned out to be a sorry little number, I was going for one layer and it looked awful. But I persisted, being inspired by the layout and adding a bit more of "me" in the design all while keeping a simple look.
I quite like using non Christmas images for Christmas designs. This time I used a stamped and heat embossed trumpet sent to me by
Monika. Sorry, but I don't know the brand. Twofers have the theme of music this fortnight, the only requirement is to use stamps (no digis) and follow the theme (music).
I made a frame for the trumpet using med Dienamics stitched oval dies. The holly was made using a stamp from Poppy Design, I colored it with Promarkers and added red pearls from my stash. I mounted it on foam, being inspired by the theme over at Addicted to CAS.
The musical notes panel is made with a small stamp from Prima, one I hadn't used before. The sentiment is die cut, meaning "Christmas greetings" in Norwegian.
