Elephant silhouette

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug - and it's a photo inspiration.

I was inspired by the colors. The image is Silhouette - elephant paisley, and I chose to color in the details. The dies I used are Wild Animals from Amy Design. I made the background with distress oxides and found a DP in my stash that match with the theme and colors.

I used a freebie paper from a magazine - I've got to use some of my freebie stash for this event -for the background and the word "Merry". The Bugaboo freebie, which will be found here, was colored with Promarkers. The die cut word is made with a Tim Holtz die.

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 5

We're celebrating Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug, and for day 5 we want you to make us laugh.

This was a really quick card to make. I colored up the JJ "Naughty" Christmas List, stamped a sentiment with red ink and added a border of washi tape. Simples!

It's a sassy image, not one I'd put on a card to everyone, that would be risky, but I do know a few ladies I'm certain would appreciate this kind of card.

Christmas in July 2020 - Day 4

Today is day 4 of our Christmas in July event over at Catch the Bug. I've used the flash freebie and the middle horizontal row of the bingo chart.
I made the background with a Tim Holtz stencil and gold Nuvo expanding mousse. The edges are distressed with Altenew Enchanted gold ink. The sentiment is made with dies from Concord&9th. "Season" is covered in glitter paste - I love a bit of sparkle on Christmas cards.

Snarky cats - birthday and Christmas

I've got two cards to show today. Both feature cats from Tim Holtz' "snarky cats" set. For both cards I used a stencil, also Tim Holtz, and Nuvo expanding mousse, in gold and in silver.

1) BIRTHDAY CARD
I placed the cat on a die cut frame from Altenew, made of black paper covered with Altenew Enchanted gold ink. I spritzed with Sangria Art Anthology mist . The pen is an older stamp, the sentiment came with the cat set. The ink splatters are made with stamps from Lawn Fawn.

2) CHRISTMAS CARD
Here I got to use some items from my stash of leftover/ready made pieces. I gave the cat a chipboard Santa's hat. The pencil is part of the same stamp as the pen on the card above. I love this cat, look at his eyes - I think the sentiment is right for him, lol.
