Ink #240 - Hot air balloons

For our new challenge at Inkspirational we have a photo. I was inspired by the hotair balloon, obviously, but also the mirror effect, which is replicated by the  stenciled, heat foiled rays.

I used a stamp set from Our Craft Lounge for the hot air balloons and the cloud. The sentiment is die cut, I added black dots with a black Posca pen,

Sketch + card for a teenager

Happy Friday!
I love playing with sketches, I love doing carrd for boys and men. So I definetely wanted to take the opportunity to play with the Paper Players' sketch and to make cinfirmation card for a boy.
I kept it simple but decorated the inside as well. DPs, stamped sneakers and a bit of sparkle for the die cut sentiment.

Sketch - Watering can on foiled background

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug - we are now doing biweekly Anything goes challenges and biweekly sketch challenges and alternate weeks.

For this card I went with Rose Watering Can, cut with a Penny Black antique fram die.
Earlier this year I watched some videos on YouTube where foil and a laminator were used - there are several videos on this topic, just try and search "Foiling with a Laminator". It's really easy. To make my background I used a stencil, deco foil transfer gel and Heidi Swapp mint colored foil, and a laminator. This background was part of the first batch I made.
Lace and and ribbon from my stash, the sentiment came free with a magazine.

Pierre Wine - this week's freebie

Happy Friday! I'm here to show you my card featuring the Freebie Friday - you can pick it up at no cost for one week by clicking here: Chef Pierre Wine.
I colored Pierre with Promarkers and fussy cut and placed him on top of a clock, the inspiration came from the sentiment, a sticker by Art by Marlene. The "cheers" and the "Chill" are both stamped.
The background is stamped, with a stamp from Pinkfresh studio, the clock die is from Marianne.

Ink # 239 - Triangle

For our new challenge at Inkspirational we have a word prompt: TRIANGLE.

I used a brush to add speckled egg DOx to the background, then I used several triangle stamps with both speckled egg and pumice stone DOx. For the edges and confetti I used orange DI.
Then I die cut a cocktailglass (die set from Creative Expressions), the cut part was glued to the background and I raised the panel on foam to make a shaker card. The slices of fruit were part of the same set as the glass. I used a black Posca pen to make the dots around the cut out glass to accentuate it more.

Twofer and sketches

Here are my two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge #38, where the theme is cakes and cupcakes.
For both cards I used a stamp set from Hero Arts that allows you to build your own cake.
I made a birthday card and a wedding card, each card was based on a sketch - I love using sketches.

1) BIRTHDAY CARD

I needed a birthday card for my teenaged nephew and I made him a card with a chocolate cake with candles and stars. I cut a banner from a scrap of DP and stenciled the background with a Pinfresh Studio stencil and Speckled egg DOx, I love this colors and I think it looks great with brown. The letters are old chipboard ones that I colored with a brown Promarker and a white Posca pen.

This card is also for Freshly Made Sketches - #485

2) WEDDING CARD

I'm in no rush for a wedding card, but I have none in my stash, so at some point it will come in handy. I I heat embossed the sentiment and the mandala (stamp from Papirdersign) with white. The background was made with a pink DOx and gold paint. I die cut a frame, found a piece of lace and flowers from my stash.
