INK #314 - Mood Board

At Inkspirational our challenge theme for the next two weeks is a colorful mood board. I was inspired by the colors and tried to mimic them in the order of the girl blowing them - and the bling mimics the arranegment of the macarons. 
I used a seahorse stamp from Aall&Crreate, satmped in black ink. I used ditress inks and a text stamp for the background. Sentiment are stickers with birthday greetings in Norwegian.

INK # 313 - Fold

At Inkspirational our challenge theme for the next two weeks is FOLD. I made a Double Decker Pop Out card, I found the tutorial here.

I used papers from ScrapBoys' Steampunk Collection, in addition to some oddments in my stash. The cogs are die cut in metallic papers, dies from Papirdesign.

Easter - tag shaped card

This might look like a tag, but it's a tag shaped card with a top fold. I used a die from the Studiolight Oriental tags collection to make this card base.
I used papers from ScrapBoys Old Farm collection. I think the bunnies and chicken are perfect for Easter as I combined them with yellow Bazzil and seambinding ribbon.

I also decorated the inside.

INK #311 CAS - optional feature a balloon

At Inkspirational our challenge theme is Clean and Simple, with the optional twist of adding a ballloon.  

I used a wooden stamp from Penny Black. I colored with Posca pencils and added glossy accent to the balloon. Kept it clean and simple for a masculine vibe.

CASEing Carol

It's CASE a Design Team Member Week over at Just us Girls, and when I saw Carol's card I immediately knew what I wanted to make, being inspired by the layout. Carol used stencils and stamps, I used dies and designer papers and my Dymo.
I made a spring card with a hen and a rooster, I used papers from Scrap Boys' Old Farm collection for my card.

INK #310 - Mood board with Soft colors

At Inkspirational our challenge theme for the next two weeks is a mood board with photos in soft pinks and blues, and I was inspired by the colors as well as the flowers.  
I pulled out my Tim Holtz flower stamp, heat embossed with gold and used speckled egg Distress oxide along with a couple of  pink ones. I heat embossed the die cut sentiment in gold and added 3 translucent dots - can you find them?

Guest Designer Card for "I spy with my little eye" - #12 something beginning with B

Today I'm a guest designer over at at Simply Ellibelle's blog and her "I spy with my little eye" challenge. And the theme is "something beginning with B". 

I have several B-elements on my card - like boy, birthday, ball, balloon, bling, banner - maybe you will spot more than me?

I have used a die from Papirdesign for the boy, the balloon die was part of the Spellbinder advent calendar last year and the circle is a die from Pinkfresh.

As I have 5 nephews, ranging from 8 to 28 years of age, I am always in need of some masculine designs. This card will go to one of the teenagers.

TioT- Spotlight

Over at Try it on Tuesday our new challenge is "In the spotlight". You can use the spotlight technique, like I did - you can check out tutorials and videos on this technique - or you may have your own idea for "spotlighting" on your project. For my card I chose a flower stamp from Tim Holtz. I heat embossed with white on kraft on the background. For my "spotlight" piece I used kraft colored ink on white paper and watercolored the flowers. I used a sentiment from Lawn Fawn cut with a small banner die and added 3 translucent dots.

This will sadly be my final project as a DT member over at TioT. I have enjoyed my time with this friendly group of people and awesone challenge themes. It's just that I don't have enough time at the moment so I decided to step down. However, I will try and join their challenges in the future for fun, as I will continue to craft.

INK #309 Hearts

At Inkspirational our challenge theme for the next two weeks is "Hearts". With Valentine's day being just around the corner I expect to see a lot of fantastic entries in the gallery.
I used a red rubber stamp for my hearts on the background, they were heat embossd in white and I used a pink Distress Oxide to make them pop.The birds were paper pieced and they were part of the same Lawn Fawn stamp set as the letter and ink jar and pen. The sentiment comes from Mama Elephant.

For my card I chose the flower option, I made the flower with a die from Pinkfresh. I kept the card neutral, both with the colors and my choice of sentiment as I have had requests for general cards.

INK #308 - Paper piecing

At Inkspirational our challenge for the next two weeks is "Paper Piecing.
Persoanlly I think paper piecing is lots of fun, it's a great altnerative to coloring and a super way to use up some scraps.
For me card I chose to go CAS with a Penny Black stamp and DPs in different shades og greys and blues, except for the palm trees whre I used a green leftover piece and green Stickles glue. I left some buildings untouched. All windows were colored with a silver glitter gel pen. One single Pinkfresh gem was added to the star. The card is acutally quite sparkly, but it doesn't show in the picture.

TioT - Add some text

Over at Try it on Tuesday our new challenge is "Add some text".

For my card today I went the masculine route with black and white and a more than a decade old typewriter stamp from Prima. And I used  background stamp of a much newer date (less than a year old) with a font similar to what you would get using an old typewriter. 
The sentiment translates  to something like "even youthful men like you celebrate birthdays every year".

INK #307 - Use stencils

At Inkspirational our first challenge of 2024 is "Use stencils" with the optional twist of using more than one stencil and/or use layering stencils.

I used the twist and combined a stencil from Altenew with one from Tim Holtz. I used only black, white and gret for a sympathy card with die cut leaves and bling from Pinkfresh.

TioT - Winter Blues

Over at Try it on Tuesday our first challenge of 2024 is "Winter Blues". 

I chose to create a winter scene using a combination of Lavinia and Hero Arts with black and blue inks.I added yellow around the lantern for a bit of glow. The sentiment is a sticker with a birthday greeting.I addded Wink of Stella to the trees and glitter glue to the fairy boy´s wings.
