Card for a birthday boy

My favorite cards to make are the ones for the boys and men of any age. So this weekend I sat down and created this card, using an old cut out image from Maja Design. I chose to keep with blue, white and silver colors, as well as a jeans and star theme. I find stars always work as an embellishment for the masculine designs.

I used several dies: star and sentiment tags from Gummiapan, small stars and photo frame from Lawn Fawn, a star frame from Dixi Craft and stitched star dies from Craft&You.

This card is for:
AAA Birthday Challenge - #86 For Boys
The Paper Players - #789 Masculine

INK #369 - Visual Prompt: Gnome

At Inkspirational the new challenge is a visual prompt and we want to see you take inspiration from the photo below.

I was inspired by the gnome. My gnome has a honeycomb pattern on his hat and has daisies in his hands. To that's what inspired my colors and choice of embellishments, using dies from Little Birdie and Gummiapan and a sentiment stamp from Aall&Create.

Ink #366 RAIN - #367 Floral Palette - #368 For the Guys

At Inkspirational our current challenge is "For the Guys" and I chose a dog as my centre piece along with a star frame and additional stars and some bling.

Check out the challenge blog for more inspiraion and details.

Life has been busy and so I haven't been able to share my cards for the 2 previous challenges yet - this was for the Floral Palette - being inspired by the paint palette and brush

The third card was for the theme of rain, and I was thinking about also how showers bring flowers, so I added lots of flowers too. I love the colors on this card and how I arranged the flowers, which I in general struggle with.

INK #363 - Visual prompt - greens

At Inkspirational the new challenge is a visual prompt and we want to see you take inspiration from one or more of the photos below.

I was inspired by the circles and the greeneries. So out came my new Little Birdie background die, bought during my recent 3 week stay in India. The circles being not entirely round shaped I though they would also make great giraffe spots.  The giraffe image and sentiment are from Craft Stash, included as a freebie with a UK magazine some years ago.I love African themed animals and prints, so I have saved the set  until now. The background paper is Craft o´Clock. I used arch dies as my panel for the image and decorated with leaves made with dies from Simple and Basic and small flowers from Little Birdie.

INK #360 - Word Prompt - XOXO

At Inkspirational the new challenge is a word prompt: XOXO.
I needed a birthday card for my sister who has a chihuahua called Aimi. She's the most cuddly and sweet little creature who enjoys spending time in front of a fan heater, especially this time of year.
So I thought this image would be perfect for the card. Papers are from Craft o'Clock.
