Easter egg basket and bunny

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug and this week is photo challenge week.
I made a little scene for the Easter egg basket  - you can find it in the Bugaboo shop.

I cut a a border of trees, stitched hills and grass out of plain green paper and stamped a few flowers with white ink. I used a Tom Holtz stencil for the sunrise and the cute bunny is from Lawn Fawn.

Cherries and window

I had this bowl of cherries all colored up and decorated with glossy accent, waiting for an occasion to be used. I decided to make a window scene, from the inside looking out. I used a dark brown paper for the die cut window and mounted it with foam. I added acetate for the glass. Papers are from Maja Designs. Parts of a die cut branch and leaf were added as well as a stamped and fussy cut butterfly. Sentiment was stamped.

You are my anchor

This is my attempt on doing some watercolor smooshing.

I added blue DIs, brusho and lots of water and just smooshed my paper around.
Before that I had heat set my stamped anchor and sentiment that translates "you are my anchor".

I added two silver sequins and a red one.

This card is for:

Sketch #506

Today we have a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug. I used the image Make it Snappy -thinking of you
It was colored with Promarkers.

I used a striped textured paper for my card base and I used a Dienamics die to emboss the border frame. A piece of red paper as well as a scrap of spotted paper.

Black, gold and green for a card for a woman

I used to shy away from color challenges, but now I feel they are a good aid for using my neglected rubber stamps. This is such a stamp, from Prima. I also used a much used butterfly stamp from a Bo Bunny set and a sentiment stamp from Poppy.
I used mostly black and gold with touches of green on the leaves. I machine stitched around the edges with a golden thread and heat set the sentiment using gold EP. I also used a gold gel pen to color in  a few details.

    This card is for:
Color Throwdown - #434 Color Inspiration

    Napping day

Over at Catch the Bug we are celebrating odd events and holidays each Wednesday, like napping day which was on March 13. I wish I could spend a whole day napping. Here's a dog and cat doing just that. They've got company of a bird. This came to from scraps and several dies were involved (Dienamics frame die,
Memory Box bird and cage an an oval die for the carpet). When I find my 'home sweet home' picture stamp I will add it on here, as a picture on the wall. I know it's in my stash somewhere...

    HELLO baby

I did get around to make that baby card today, using  a set of stamps from Lawn Fawn and some butterflies from Bo Bunny. There are quite a few dies used: grass (La La Land), hills (Poppy), rounded square and banner (Dienamics) and my newst addition, the pierced shaped dies from Kort & Godt. It's a layered design, but surprisingly leight weight.

I was inspired by the colors of the current photo/color scheme over at Color Throwdown. The blur color is cornflower blue, and I used a Promarker with this name as well as forest green to color the paper used for the grass and hill.

    This card is for:

    Snowflakes and snowman

I went to my craft room with the intention to make a baby card, then this is what happened! I just had to play with my favorite and most used stamp set (Hero Arts) and dies. Well, I don't mind it turning out to be a Christmas card, I need plenty of those at the end of the year, so better get going, sooner rather than later.

I stamped and die cut the snowman and trees, then I added snowflakes of second and third stamp generation to make the background. I die cut snowy hills (Poppystamps) and a frame (Dienamics), and I finished off with adding WoS and die cut snowflakes (Elizabeth Craft Designs).

    This card is for:

    F for Family

I have made only a few Christmas cards so far this year,  I'm behind compared to last year, and the number I'll need is increasing for each year.
Most of the cards will be posted so I need them to be postage friendly ones. This is such a card. I covered the front base with a DP with pink and grey trees. I think I'll make more of these cards with slight variations.
Here I used 1 stamp for the sentiment in Norwegian (which translates to something like: it is in the children's sparkling  eyes one finds the great Christmas joy).
The snowflakes, snow hills and children are all die cut. The children reminds me of my 3 youngest nephews, Noah, Liam and Levi.

    Waving chicken

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug.
I used one of last months freebies - Kitchen Chicken - Basket. There's a new freebie every Friday.

As you can see I didn't use different papers for the strips at the bottom part, I did score stripes and I used the inlay die cut technique for a sentiment too, but it doesn't really show up in the photo.
Papers are from Doodlebug Designs, flowers from stash.
