SSS #809

Catch the Bug is back with another sketch challenge.

I colored the image with Promarkers and fussy cut it. I used a combination of Maja Design leftover pieces. I added a border of balloons from Lawn Fawn and used colors matching the papers.

    Umbrella and spring colors

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug - and this time it's a color challenge.

I used Fancy Umbrella 3. I used the three colors to the right for the image and the 3 on the left for the background. I used purple DoX and 2 blue Altenew inks with water for rain splatter. I die cut a frame and added sparkly glitter along the inside edges of the frame. A birthday greeting was added on a fishtail banner.

    Girl in garden

Seeing Marina's card here I was inspired to play with some of my A Day for daisies images. This is one my absolute favorites. I colored it with Promarkers and added a touch of glitter glue to the flowers. I used kraft colored ink for the birthday sentiment. A Penny Black die was used to make the frame. I cut an extra one in kraft to get a shadow effect.

    Ink #211 - Paint splatters

This fortnight the theme for our new challenge at Inkspirational is paint splatters.
I made another card for my nephew Noah's 13th birthday. I used the footballer die from Dixi Craft, cut in white and another one in black for shadow. I added number 13 on his chest, to represent his age, and also die cut letters to add his name. A birthday greeting was stamped.
The background was made with blue inks and brushos. I used watered out gesso and blue ink to make splatters. I also used a stamp with numbers and text and another one with circles, stamped with blue ink, so it's very subtile. A few stars were added as well.
Please head over to the challenge blog to see what my teammates have made.

    Twofer, rain and umbrellas

Here are my two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge #26, where the theme is RAIN/UMBRELLA.
For both cards I used an umbrella stamp from Lawn Fawn.
I made a birthday card and a baby card.

    1)BIRTHDAY CARD
The background was stamped with an umbrella and raindrop stamps from Laen Fawn. I also cut and colored an umbrella, fussy cut a few birds and clouds. The sentiment is MFT and was stamped with white ink onto a die cut banner.

Naughty or nice - nothing like a Dame

I'm behind on my Christmas card making, so for "Humour me Wednesday"  over at Catch the Bug i pulled out JJ Xmas Cheer - tis the season for "Nothing like a Dame" day.

Image is colored with Promarkers and I added glossy accent on her glasses and baubles. I think the sentiment fitted her state and I used some old DPs from my stash.

Boats with a bunny and a bear

Today I've made a card using an unused stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The boats, the lighthouse, bunny, bear, anchor and stars are all part of this stamp set.
I paperpieced the boats and lighthouse and used a striped DP as background, all papers are from Maja Design.
I die cut some waves using dies from Poppystamps. The speech bubble and frame dies are MFT ones.
I used a birthday sentiment in Norwegian.

    Spring at Catch the Bug

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug - our challenge this week is SPRING.

I used Sunbonnet flowers and I teamed her up with stamps from Altenew. All images are colored with Promarkers. I also used the stamps to make the background paper, placing plant images at different angles and stamping with kraft colored ink. A birthday greeting was added on a panel of kraft.

    Football and sketch

I have 5 nephews and I've always enjoyed making cards for them. However, once they turn teenagers it gets a bit more tricky. I don't want the cards to be too childish and the beer and wine stamps are not fitting for many more years:)

My nephew Noah turns 13 this year and he loves to play and watch football, so I treated myself to this die from Dixi Craft and some football themed papers.  I used a MB stencil and a birthday sentiment stamp for the panel.

    This card is for:
Allsorts - #566 Something Old (stencil), Something New (die)

Color Thorwdown: Pink, grey, green and kraft

I had this image of the can as a leftover from when making my card in the previous post.
So instead of putting it away I decided to use it together with flowers from another Altenew set and have a play with the colors at Color Throwdown.
I used grey and pink ink to make some splatter one the background, hardly visible in the photo, and I used part of kraft circle as a frame.
The sentiment is a general one, like a "just because" of sorts.

    Ink #210 Spring

Spring is approaching and spring is also the theme for our new challenge at Inkspirational. Please head over to the challenge blog to see what my teammates have made.

What I appreciate about spring is that everything seems to come to life again. Flowers blossom, the grass and trees turn green again. For some people (not me) spring also involves seeding and taking care of there gardens again.
All stamps used are part of the same set from Altenew. The background is made with brushos and inks and cut with a wonky sticthed die.
