Easel Card with Teddy

Is it only me or do the weeks pass by in a flash?! There's a new challenge over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's optional twist is to make an "Easel Card". I've used an image from Lee's Digi Shop, our sponsor for October.

The teddy is colored with my Promarkers and the balloon is covered with glossy accent.  DPs are from Maja Design, chosen to match the colors of the wrapping of the gift. I've used dies to make the pennants and the bonbons. I stamped a birthday sentiment and also added a button with a birthday greeting. This card was really hard to photograph due to both the design and light conditions, but I hope you'll get the idea...

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Clear It Out - Theme: Use Orange Stash: Orange Things (pearls)
2) PDE Linky Party - #24 Easel Cards
3) Love to Create - More than One Fold

Issues with word verification??? Help!

I've been away on holiday, came back and suddenly it seems word verification has been turned on, even though it says 'no' under 'settings' and I haven't changed my profile. Strange isn't it?
I've tried to change from pop up comment box to embedded, it seems to be working, but when I change back to pop up word verification is again turned on... So I've changed to embedded again to leave out word verification (or so I hope...)
Anyone else having experienced this? I'd love to hear your advice....

Cool Cat

There's a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today, the theme is color inspiration, and I thought this Cool Cat from the Bugaboo store was perfect for it.
I colored him up with my Promarkers and fussy cut him.

For the background I used a houndstooth DP from Doodlebug Design and my buildings die from Memory Box. The sentiment is die cut using craft foam and a die from Dienamics. I also added a few star sequins.

I'd also like to enter my card in these challenges:
1) Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Animals
2) Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - #76 For the Boys

Yippi, it's Thursday! One more day and the week-end is here and I'm off to a week in the sun!
We have a new challenge over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's optional twist is "Use your favorite technique"! Well I've used two of them - paper piecing and fussy cutting.
I've used an image from Lee's Digi Shop, our sponsor for October.

The teddy is colored with my Promarkers and the balloon is covered with loose pink glitter and glossy accent.  I used dies to make the frame and the circle shaped card base. DPs are from Doodlebug Design.  I stamped a small birthday sentiment and adhered it to a hand cutted banner. I also added 3 pink pearls.

This card is also for these challenges:

Cake anyone?

October 14 was "National Dessert Day". I couldn't resist making a card with the French Chef, Pierre, and his masterpiece cake - you can find this image in the Bugaboo store here.
I colored him with Promarkers, fussy cut him and mounted him on foam. I added Diamond stickles to the cake.

I used DPs from MME. The sentiment is in Norwegian and is from Kort&Godt. I made it into a rosette, cutting some strips from of a scrap piece. I used a white gel pen for the faux stitching around the edges.
The layout is inspired by this week's sketch over at "Sketch Saturday".

This card is for these challenges:
1) Sketch Saturday - Sketch #331
2) Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - #49 ATG with a Twist Stripes
3) Glitter n Sparkle - #105 Include Some Black and White

Christmas Baubles

Purple is my favorite color and seeing the color inspiration over at Inkspirational I wanted to play along immediately!

I went with a Christmas design, using my neglected Christmas bauble dies from Memory Box.
For the bottom layer I chose silver cardstock and for the ornate pattern I used silver mirri card.
I attached each bauble to a silver string. I felt they needed something extra so I used seambinding ribbon to make the bows.
The panel is made with purple card stock and my new Sizzix embossing folder. I mounted it to silver cardstock and a black card base.

There's nothing original about my design, but I still like how this turned out, using no stamps.

This card is for these challenges:
1) Inkspirational - Purple and Silver
2) ABC Christmas Challenge - Tree ornament
3) Top Tip Tuesday - Non Traditional Christmas
4) Pile It On - #41 2 or more die cuts
5) C.R.A.F.T. - #280 Christmas

    Gift Bag with Snowman

Anotther Thursday,  another challenge over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week we have the optional twist of  "Outdoors"!
Snowmen are obvisously found outdoors, so that's why I opted for this cute image from Lee's Digi Shop, our sponsor for October.

I used my Promarkers for coloring.
The gift bag is made with the help of my new die from Lawn Fawn.
I used my Memory Box stencil and embossing paste to make the background of stars and spots.
I cut out the image and panel using circle dies. Then I added some grey seambinding ribbon and attached a red flower and punched branches to it. The sentiment says "Merry Christmas" in Norwegian.

Bugaboo New Release Tuesday - Birthday Balloon Boy

My card today shows a brand new image - you can get it over at the Bugaboo store as from today!
I love making boy cards, and I'm sure you're going to see more of this little fella in the future.
He's a birthday boy and when I think of children's birthdays I think of sodas and straws, so I added one to my card. I attached different birthday themed sentiments to it. I went with a red, white and blue color scheme, one of my favorites, stars and stripes. I added a die cut number and 3 red enamel dots as well.

My party themed design is also for these challenges
    1) Sketch N Stash - Sketch (new stash image and straw)
    2) Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - #196 - 3 Of The Same Letter (stars, stripes and straw)

    Autumn Leaves

Today I'm sharing with you an autumn themed card made with the inspiration from the sketch over at Catch the Bug, where I'm a Guest Designer for the next 4 months.
You can find the beautiful leaves here - Mini-Set Leaf Blocks.

I dug out my inks to add color to the leaves. I printed the leaves twice, cut them out and mounted them on foam. The frame is colored with walnut DI and a golden pen. I placed the images onto a piece of burlap and gold paper, added a button to each image and chose a DP I felt would match the autumnal colors of the leaves. The sentiment is made with a Dienamics die and craft foam.

I'd like to enter this card in these challenges:
    1) Crafty Little Fairies - Use only one designer paper
    2) Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - #196 3 Of The Same Letter (buttons, burlap, brown)
    3) Brown Sugar - #114 Autumn/ Fall

    Golden Fairy and Stenciled Background

Just a quick CAS card from me today! Hadn't planned to post anything, but suddednly I had the urge to make this card - and after all, today is World Card Making Day!

I've used a fairy die from Marianne. I cut her out of gold paper and and adhered her to craft foam for a bit more dimension.

The background is covered with blue paint and I used my new Memory Box star stencil. I added embossing paste and some gold glitter frantage on the stars.

I left out a sentiment as I was trying to avoid the trap of adding more and thus moving away from the CAS style. It's also practical having some cards with no sentiments available, and I think this design will work for several occasions.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
    1) Addicted to CAS - Stencil
    2) My Time to Craft - #261 Die cuts only
    3) Crafting When We Can - #79 No Designer Papers
    4) Crafty Boots - Gold

Bugaboo's Freebie Friday - Boo Halloween Princess

Happy Friday everybody! Today I'm sharing with you my first card as a Bugaboo Guest designer.

The image I've used is called Boo Halloween Princess and you can pick her up here for free as she's this week's Freebie Friday over at Catch the Bug.

For my card I've used papers from Doodlebug Design. I love spots and stripes and I love orange! I didn't want to make it too spooky for this little darling, so I die cut trees using my Memor Box die and I stamped and fussy cut two cute bats. I also used a die cut fence from Marianne, I cut it in two and placed a piece on each side of the image.

This card is also for these challenges:
    1) Pile It On - #39 The Witching Hour/Halloween
    2) Crafting for all Seasons - #87 Too cute to spook
    3) Crafty Creations - #273 Orange

She's colored with Promarkers in shades of browns and blues to match the DP with bicycles from Authentique. I placed her onto a folded frame - I found the tutorial for it here.
