Inspired by a color board

I made a card being inspired by the colors over at AAA Cards

I had an image from Scrappehuset that was spot on for the colors, and I made my own background using a mix of distress and distress oxide inks, colors aged mahogany, wild honey, kitsch flamingo and mustard seed.
I wanted a bit of texture to the background so I used a Lisa Horton embossing folder. For a CAS look that might have been a mistake? I liked the look and cut the panel smaller so more of the card base would show. In retrospect I could have done it even smaller, but I liked the look of it.

I kept the design simple by not adding any embellishments other than a touch a stickles glue on the flower's centres, as well as a simple greeting.

Sometimes I find it hard to know exactly where the limit is for CAS and I will not be offended in any way if my card will be removed. But I liked the colors for a summery look and feel and wanted to join:

INK #372 - Christmas in July

At Inkspirational the new challenge is a word prompt: Christmas in July.

Normally I make many Christmas cards in July, but with this heat I've been unable to make much at all, and so so far one Christmas card only! Rain and cooler temperatures have been predicted for today and I hope that will be the case.

I have used a Spellbinder embossing folder, and the image is from Mintay's Christmas book, I used a bauble die set from Craft It. Pine die from Papirdesign and sentiment from Gummiapan.
I inked the edges of the bauble and mounted it on foam for a little dimension.

Lemons

At Inkspirational the new challenge is a visual prompt. I was inspired by the lemons, both as theme and color.

I  used a paper from 49 & Market for the background and cut images from Alchemy of Art. And I used lots of white die cut leaves.

Playing with a sketch...

It's been a while since I last used a sketch. Sketch challenges used to be my number 1 favorite. I guess they still are, when I have enough time to play.

This sketch really appealed to me and I went with a nautical inspired card, using designer papers, kraft paper, an ephemera anchor, cheese cloth, enamel dots and a sticker sentiment. A quick and easy card,
