Waving chicken

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug.
I used one of last months freebies - Kitchen Chicken - Basket. There's a new freebie every Friday.

As you can see I didn't use different papers for the strips at the bottom part, I did score stripes and I used the inlay die cut technique for a sentiment too, but it doesn't really show up in the photo.
Papers are from Doodlebug Designs, flowers from stash.

This card is also for:
Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes
Crafting With An Attitude - Anything Goes
Crafty Girls Creations - Anything Goes

Is this ever cute?! Love the fancy circle frame with this chick in the basket motif. It adds a touch of elegance to the whimsical image, and love the bright colors too. Also love the paper pairing that you've done. It's not easy to combine patterns like these 2 (I am terrible at this!) and these look great with the chicken. The border dimension between the papers is such a subtle touch, and I love the flower & leaf bouquet too. TFS & Hugs

Interesting idea using the inlay die cut technique for the sentiment in a design paper, I enlarged the picture and it looks great. Love the kraft frame around the chick and the leaves diecut from a piece of dp! This card has beautiful colours, and a sweet feel of home, love it!
