Snowman on Bauble

YES - finally Friday! The week-end is near and Friday also means you can pick up a new freebie in the Bugaboo store.  Today I'm sharing my GDT card showing you this week's freebie - Stocking Santa ornament.

I'm a DP addict, but this card is actually made without any DPs. I used kraft and red paper sprinkled with white mist. The kraft paper also got white frantage. I distressed the edges with walnut DI and stitched around the edges - a bit rough and randomly.
The image is colored with Promarkers and I used lots of gold glitter glue for the bauble. I used a sentiment from a stamp set from Dylusion. I cut two pieces of straw and tied a golden bow around it for a little bit of decoration.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) 4 Crafty Chicks - #221 Make it Sparkle
2) Aud Sentiments Challenge - #120 Use a Sentiment for any December Holiday
3) Make My Monday - Glitter
4) Sparkles Forum Challenges - The Big Guy (Santa)

Heeheehee....what a great conversation starter. That's one of my favorite sayings and seeing it on a Christmas card is hilarious. Love the glitter and you did very good refraining from DP :) This is such a terrific holiday card and the straw...perfect!
Happy weekend to you too!

Do you ever just use paper, you know, as paper, lol? You do amaze me, you know, with how beautifully you dress up and stitch up and glitterfy your papers ... so the opposite of my own no-work-involved policy! What you've done with these papers and that sediment to make this fantastic card just blows me away, Pia!! Hugs, Darnell

Gorgeous card Pia and that image and sentiment are super. I have no idea what the Swedish words were on my card, it was on the bottom of the DP I used. I am guessing it was about Christmas.xx

Having a wee catch up on your blog. I am so far behind in visiting. Just can not seem to have enough time lately.

The packing and getting the garden put to bed for winter is taking up my days and sleep is calling early lately!

Thanks for the great idea about paper piecing my flower. Think i will try that!

This card is hilarious! I had a good chuckle at it...fabulous sentiment and love your stitched papers!
