2015 Christmas Card #6

Every Tuesday there are new releases in the Bugaboo store, and this one of today's new images.

I love this little mouse, so versatile. With Valentine's Day behind us I thought I'd make a Christmas card and try coloring on kraft with with my Inktense pencils.

I embossed my image with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and I gave the snowflakes a little treatment with white gelato.

The hearts are shiny of glossy accent. I used different scraps from my stash, I thought the sketch over at Sketch Saturday was great for just this purpose.

I stitched with white thread around the edges and used a die cut snowflake (Memory Box) which was and sentiment, both in my stash of ready to use items.

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges:
1) Sketch Saturday - Sketch #348
2) Simon Says Stamp - All Creatures Great and Small
3) Christmas Cards All Year Round - Red and White

Well, you've gone and done it now, Pia. I loved seeing this Kraft Christmas card critter so much that today I think I will start making my Christmas cards. I really love the festiveness of the red gingham paper and your coloring. The sewing just has me plain tickled pink too!!
Beautiful work and very inspiring :)

Your colouring on paper kraft looks so well, this cute mouse is very pretty!! Love the stiched on the frames and the design!
Sooner or later I will decide to use some sketches, I think that they help to not lose sight the focal point..
The snow in the background looks great with the big snowflake and the red & white papers!! So festive!

A darling image, and how well it turned out on the kraft. Brilliant coloring with these pencils. Love the DP and the stitching around the edges. Looks very homey & country, and just downright cuddlesome. Well done & I'm loving the falling snow too. TFS

This looks great as a Christmas card, it's beautifully coloured and the stitching looks fantastic. I'm interested that you used gelatos for the snow. I have gelatos but have barely used them and have been thinking of getting rid of them but I must check to see if I have a white, as it's always good to find a white that shows up well.
