1st birthday

I saw the sketch over at The Vintage Challenge and sat down to make a pink baby card. Then I found the cut out teddy in my stash, the pink papers were changed to browns and as more and more came together I felt it more suitable for a boy. So this will be my youngest nephew's birthday card. Thing is - he won't turn 1 in another 350+ days. Defintely not a last minute card...

DPs are from Maja Design.
I used dies from Lawn Fawn (swirl), Memory Box (stitched heart and number) and Kort&Godt (crown and small swirl).
The bigger swirl and corrugated paper were given a dash of gesso, the other die cuts were  heat embossed with gold EP.
I added a resin rocking horse and flowers, pearls, lace and string were from my stash.

This card is for these challenges:
1) The Vintage Challenge - #105 Sketch
2) Simply Create Too - #90 For a Precious Child
3) Crafty Gals Corner - #29 To Die For
4) Brown Sugar – #156 Anything Goes
5) Moving along with the Times - Baby Baby

This is a wonderfully distressed and certainly vintage looking baby card. I love the look of it. Lots of layers of texture. The corrugated paper is perfect on this lovely card.

Another sweet card with this delightful little teddy. Like the corrugated 'bench' he's sitting on, with his lace cushion. The doily & the stitched heart make wonderful backdrops for Little Ted, and the tiny rocking horse embellie is unusual too. So much detail, so much texture, and I really like the neutral palette of this one. Very vintage..and a perfect birthday card for this first birthday. TFS & Hugs

Beautiful card love the cute teddy and all the texture and layers-isn't is weird when you start making a card and end up with something completely different that comes together beautifully as if it was meant to be-even though it's a year early lol
