For day 1 we have a photo inspiration. I chose to color up the sweet ava mermaid with Spectrum Noirs and a gel pen, and I used my DIs to make her the underwater scene. I know many of you have probably went down this road before, but I haven't been confident using my inks for that long yet. I used blue, purple and green DIs.The "seagrass" is made using a freebie stamp and I stamped a birthday greeting in Norwegian. I also added some silver liquid pearls to her hair and the water. The bubbles have glitter glue. A little sprinkle of water before I added a coat of Perfect Pearl for a shimmery effect, which I didn't capture in the photo. I attached the panel to a black card base. It's rare I don't use any sort of dies or DPs, so this is a bit different for me. Its'a 100% flat and if it weren't for the cardbase it would be a one layer.

Sweet image and your water looks amazing!
This is very different from your usual cards Pia, but you achieved so well with this new style and I love very much your underwater scene!! There are a lot of details in it, and I'm sure that the shine in real life looks amazing! The pearls in the hairs of the mermaid (how cute!!) look so lovely and also the glittered bubbles! The plants you choose for algas are just perfect, as well the inked background with the sprinkle of water! Well done!

Your sea looks fantastic Pia lovely shading and blend of colours the seagrass at the bottom of the card makes it look as though the mermaid is deep underwater

LOVE HER! Yes, I see the pearls, and they are the perfect addition. This water technique (using water to splatter DIs) is second-to-none for an underwater background. Excellent, Pia!
