I used a digi from From The Heart Digital Stamps. I chose to fussy cut the birds, attaching them to a purple panel, then onto a white panel mounted on foam on a white card base.
I used Promarkers in different shades of purple and orange, which came out a bit more bold than I had planned for to be honest, and the balloon is covered with glossy accent for a translucent feel.
The sentiment is made with a clear stamp and is heat embossed with orange embossing powder, to match the color of the balloon.

I think the brightness of the orange and the darker purple are what makes this card so special.
Ths colours pop, making a fabulous contrast with the white layers.
Your story of the funeral scene ws so sweet. Kids are such special little treasures. I so enjoy my walks back and forth to school with the grandchildren. They are very aware of nature, aware of the birds, butterfly's, dragonflies, insects etc that we see each day.
They have long conversations about what they see and it is amazing how much they know about animals and insects. I am often learning from them!
