Flowers and Cake

When I've got too many ideas in my head nothing ever goes as planned. I've been in my craft room for almost 5 hours and this is the only thing finished yet. A lot of half made projects waiting to be finished, wrong for what I had in mind, so I need some time away before I can continue and finish them up without the original design idea "clouding" my work. That ever happens to you?
The flowers I had made for another challenge, but they ended up here, with cake and spots and stripes as my primary inspiration sources. They are made with stamps from Prima. I also added a fabric one, along with 2 roses from my stash, I added glass glitter to them.
The image is a NBUS from Stamping Bella, colored with Promarkers. The image was cut with a stitched Dienamics die, and I used a bigger sized one to emboss the background paper.
Flowers were colored with gelatos and DIs, they got liquid pearls too.  A few sequins, a sticker sentiment saying "best wishes".
The background was made with gesso, red, pink and white gelatos. The stripes were added with a stencil, the spots were stamped (Kaisercraft stamp). White mist. Stitching around the edges.

This card is for:
City Crafter Challenge - #323 I gained a Stone (baking) or Photo Inspiration
Allsorts - #375 Spots & Stripes
Just Add Ink - #323 Just Add F (flowers)
Inky Chicks - #70 Use 5 or more Flowers (I used 7)

I know exactly what you are saying about ideas in your head and nothing happens!!! However sometimes the one that works is just gorgeous just like this cute card Pia. Worth the effort for sure. Love the colours and the stitching. Zx

Pia, you are just amazing me with your ability to excel at any technique! I just adore this, and all of the subtle additions (the stripes and spotted background). Yes, I live the life of your first paragraph-- to the point where it causes me to wonder if I'm losing my mind! Then I remember: I have kids. Yes, I'm losing my mind! :)

This is gorgeous Pia, a pretty image and lovely reds - your stitched border is fabulous.
My cards rarely end up as they were been planned in my head, like you say sometimes you need to walk away and come back to them at a later date.

Pia, I had the same problem with a recycle Christmas card ALL week long! However, what you did create turned out splendidly and beautiful. Love the pretty red shades with this cute little birthday cutie. Like the subtle stencil pattern in the background with the gorgeous shapes of these flowers. These enhance the image just so nicely and add such pretty texture. TFS & Hugs

There's been many a time when I have had an idea - got all my supplies out for a card and then just haven't been able to make it all gel together! I find that just leaving it and going back to it another day helps! Love your lovely card Pia :-)

Hello, Pia! I think I missed some of your cards! I don't remember seeing this one! I have a lot of ideas and plans in my head too and they almost never turn out the way I planned! I also have a few half-finished cards. I usually don't end up finishing them as my card will take a different turn. I still keep the bits and pieces and use them on other cards as the need arises. But back to your card - it is gorgeous! I LOVE the variety of flowers and the beautiful background! I don't have gelatos but they look wonderful here! That stamped image is very pretty too!
