Smile is the Key...

Inkspirational has a beautiful color scheme this week, and the DTs made some lovely cards to get the inspiration flowing. I love the colors, but making this card was absolutely not like a walk in the park for me. In addition, my card looks more like mint than turquoise, but it's a lighter shade of turquoise that I've used.
I went with the theme of words and used a sentiment from Dylusion, as well as organza ribbon and a key metal charm. I've got so much ribbon laying around, and I've realized that I use them far too seldom on my cards. The same goes for charms, so I used a metal key charm as well as a die from Marianne to make the die cut key. The ovals are made with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals dies, I've used turquoise paper, glitter paper and a woodgrain patterned DP. I used an embossing folder with script for the triangle shapes.
I found the tutorial for this card shape during a blog hop over at "Ett Trykk". Very easy: cut a 12*12 paper in half. Score lines at 3 and 9 inches, make a mark at the ends at 3 inches and cut from the creases to the 3 inch mark.

This card is for these challenges:
1) Inkspirational - #40 Colors (Turquoise and Grey)
2) ABC Challenge - W for Words
3) Fab 'n' Funky -  #187 Ribbon
4) Craft Your Passion - Charms
5) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

So pretty, Pia and you know colours are so subjective - look different on everyone's screen - the DT shades all vary. To me, turquoise is a bluey green(or greeny blue!) and that's exactly what you've used. Great card shape and the ornate frame is gorgeous. Love the key. Thanks for continuing to play along with us at Inkspirational Challenges. Marina

This is so gorgeous Pia. I love this colour so much and the embossing folders you chose aresonderful on this card.

I am starting to try and use some ribbon up too...it is amazing how hard it is to remember to place it out when I lay out my bits and pieces to make a card. I need to tie a string to my finger...hahaha

Your tulle is so pretty on this card! Lov the sentiment words and the keys you used.

Wow, another really cool creation. Love the bright blue and of course that sentiment is awesome. I'm afraid that either Blogger or my Internet is acting up and it taking close to a minute for the comment box to appear and then post so unfortunately I'm going to have to end my visit here. I think of you often and hope that life is treating you well.

Hugs,
Lisa
